It's slow going so far. I love the world-building but October Daye as a character doesn't make me want to know her story. Urg!

Absolutely fantastic. I loved this world and I loved the characters. Though, honestly, Lena's "OMG I'm going to go dark!!" over and over again was a bit annoying and over done. I cannot wait to see what happens to the characters in the following books.

In general I'll forgive a lot of worldbuilding in favor of the characters but not vice versa. While the world with the different fae and their courts was fascinating and really well developped I have to say October Daye wouldn't get my vote. I like strong female characters and I also like fragile and vulnerable ones but they hav to speak to me in some way. I really can't say that I got to know October that well. The series seems to have to imcredible ratings down the line so I might read on just to see what happens. Don't know yet though.

Fast paced, action packed. This book was amazing. I had a hard time putting it down. Something was always happening in the story.

My biggest complaint is about the character Blue. He is there all the time, just like the others, but he is in the background. The author could have found a different way to bring him into the story so he could serve his purpose instead of sticking him with the main group the whole time. You can almost forget he is there the majority of the time.

Also, I was never really sure why people were just willing to do whatever Remy told them to do as soon as they met her. I found that a bit odd.

I will definitely be reading other books by this author, including the sequel to this one!

I loved this book. I am so glad I picked it up. I love the fast paced of the story. I'm going out right now to get the other books in the series. I don'r really like the cover of the book. I think that is why to took me forever to read it. And I am glad I did.

Finished Orange Book - - 2/6/13 - 4 Stars

I'm kind of bummed that I didn't pick up this book sooner because I really enjoyed this book. Dela Reese was an intriguing heroine - beautiful, brave, almost a magical ninja heroine. Hari was kind of like a genie - a man trapped in a rosewood box and forced to do his master's bidding. Oh, did I mention that he was a tiger shifter? Fun story, exciting, great character interactions and one hot tiger shifter. Recommended.

One of my favourite series ever. I love the worldbuilding and the whole archangel mythology and politics. But mostly I love the romance. There is no one quite like Raphael. He's actually very frightening at times. Elena is one of those tough kick-ass heroines who also have a sense of vulnerability about the. I love how the relationship developps and am thrilled that other angels are getting their own books.

Review: ★★★☆☆

This book is about a woman who is a Scottish woman who is promised to be married to a Norman warrior. She is also has a curse against her saying that if her and her husband aren't in love with each other then they will never have male heirs.

This was a nice story and it had everything in it like a good battle, lots of treachery and a curse. I enjoyed it but it didn't keep me enthralled too much because it took me two days to read it. I will read the next book in the series though.
