HA. SUCK IT. That is not foul language, btw.
And even if Giselle hates both, I'm just copy pasting from her review
"we have Jeb, a jerk who Alyssa is head over heals in love with. The boy next door who inadvertently becomes Alyssa's sidekick in this twisted wonderland, Jeb is not likeable at all. Mostly, he's boring, and any personality he does have includes him being irritating in his behaviour towards Alyssa. Sure I've seen worse love interests, he's hardly even in my least favorite, but his character is simply not attractive in the least. His obvious denied love for Alyssa, and their "we love each other but we can't because (insert lame reason here)" relationship is exhausting."
-Giselle
All true.

BUT, DONT FORGET.
"I actually did not mind him. Sure he's a wanker, but he's abruptly honest about his personality so you can't help but just accept that he is who he is. We're not "supposed" to like him, so, as usual, I loved to hate him. :D"

He is selfish...except when it comes to what he loves. And then he is incredibly loyal, ruthlessly loyal...and intense. *swoon*
^YES.
He's the bad boy of the story--and we all know we love those!
Ash, Jace, Will, Tucker, Alex, SO MANY MORE.

Read the paragraph about Jeb and weep, Jeb fans >:)
1.) Jeb is a controlling creep. Morpheus lets Alyssa have freedom. She needs to learn from her actions, she needs to make mistakes. How can she do that if Jeb continuously wraps her up in bubble-wrap and shoves a helmet on her head?2.) Jeb has no dress sense – I’ll hastily add that every time I see a man with one ear pierced.... *shivers*. Ew ew ew ew. So Jeb having a piercing ON HIS LIP... Oh God I feel sick just picturing it. Thankfully Morpheus comes along with his hat and sexy eyeliner and saves the day.
3.) Jeb is powerless and practically useless. Morpheus is super strong and has WINGS.
I'd like to see what Team Jeb has to say to those accusations.
1) Morpheus USED Alyssa by making it look like she had the freedom she wanted.
2) So what? I'm not going around criticizing Morpheous's HAT am I? But if I did, just saying, it screams Mad Hatter. Sure looks matter but all you Morph people can do is be like drooling fans when he says: OH MY GOSH I'M A SUPER HOT SEXY FAIRY, OOPS, MOTH AND YOU KNOW IT AND DON'T YOU LOVE MY SEXY EYELINER AND HAT? AREN'T I JUST IRRESISTIBLE?! Give me a break.
3) You don't have to have power to love or to be the best. Wings ain't a skill. Skateboarding is a skill. You practice and learn to get really good at.

1.) And Jeb USED Taelor, AKA his girlfriend. To, ‘block his feelings for Alyssa’. Cry me a river. (Plus, Taelor had a history of bullying Alyssa. Now, Jeb seems to never defend his best friend, but instead expects Alyssa to try harder with getting along Taelor. What was he expecting: that they’d have a cup of tea and everything will be fine? *rolls eyes*)2.) His hat “screams Mad Hatter” because it was MADE BY THE MAD HATTER. Of course it’s going to have his flavour. And get over it; a lot of attractive men wear eyeliner.

(And yes, he uses it outside of movies, too. Google it.)
3.) Oh, and you think deflecting things without getting hurt WITH YOUR WINGS isn’t a skill???
More hot guys that wear eyeliner* Ian Somerhalder
* John Rzeznik (singer from The Goo Goo Dolls)
* Billie Joe Armstrong (singer from Green Day)
Morpheus is better than Jeb because he let Alyssa be herself and accepted all parts of her without wanting to change anything about her (ie. her "dark" side
Also, according to the Archived, Guy eyeliner is called Guyliner. Plus there's another literary guy who's swoony and wears eyeliner.

OH MY GOD MORE FLUFFY MOTHS OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO DIE!!!

This one is sooo saying, "Hi everyone! I love Morpheus, too!"

You need to. And you need to come to Team Jeb. We have chocolate covered potato chips.

*joins the conversation late* The only reason I really enjoyed this book was because of Morpheus. Not only is he a original, interesting character. The only person that stood out as a strong character in the entire book AND might is probably the most attractive as well. (Not that it matters. Alright. It does.)
He also loved Alyssa more than anyone else in the book.
He spent his childhood with her; he taught her things and listened to her. He watched her, and obsessed over her. She was the living personification of everything he was working for, she was his savoir and the girl he wanted to be queen. She was in a sense, everything to him.
We can also see from his introduction and beyond he’s very, very selfish. He’s only “makes friends” to use people, that’s just how he is. Even his relationship with Alyssa you can see that he’s kind of obsessed with himself – and yet really, really likes Alyssa. As much as someone like him can.
But he also respects others. He respects Alyssa’s abilities and her inner strength, unlike Jeb he allows her to make mistakes, he doesn’t cuddle her, doesn’t act like her father and decide what she can/cannot do because she knows she hates that AND he wouldn’t be treating her like an equal if he did.
That is after all, what he sees her as. An equal, in fact maybe a bit superior with her role as
(view spoiler) Jeb sees her as a fragile glass doll that needs to be protected, a young girl that can’t do anything for herself. Morpheus never did that, at times he did protect her but when she said “I can handle this!” he stepped out of the way, tipped his hat and let Alyssa be.
Jeb pushed her back, told her that she was helpless and fought for her – like a knight in shining armor protecting his helpless damsel. Alyssa is not a helpless damsel, I like when a guy defends a girl but not needlessly, it’s like he didn’t trust Alyssa to do anything on her own.
Jeb is written as a selfless kind of guy, unsure about anything he does. Something he almost takes out on Alyssa, his father was a horrible person and he doesn’t want to be either, he knows he never wants to be his father.
His father probably never cared about what Jeb did, didn’t stand up for him. Alyssa is almost Jeb’s way to be the exact opposite of his father – but he’s taking it overboard. He’s suppressing Alyssa’s abilities in the name of protecting her.
Morpheus used her – yes, but he was also confident in her abilities and was willing to make her (view spoiler) in the end, because he KNEW SHE COULD DO IT.
Jeb wouldn’t even let her go to London with him.
And my biggest, final point is. Morpheus is a selfish person, the type of person that doesn’t do anything unless it brings him closer to his goals. Yes he was using Alyssa in the beginning, he didn’t want to die. You can tell throughout the whole book that he’s afraid of death, that he’ll do anything to make sure that he’ll stay alive.
(view spoiler)
That is the most unselfish, biggest things he had ever done in his life, and he did it for her. He was willing to die, give up on all his big plans to make sure that she was alive. Because he realized how he really cared about her.
Saying Morpheus is just a creep with wings who was only using Alyssa isn’t true, he loved her in the way he could. He loves differently than humans, he was selfish, he was manipulative but in the end it didn’t matter.
Because he was a man in love who could bear seeing the girl he loved die.
And it’s that one selfless act that puts me on team Morpheus because despite his nature and personality he was able to do that.

1) He has WINGS
