Unfortunately, I also have concern about if he'll we able to accept Alyssa's Wonderland side as easily this time around. A part of the reason he believe everything Alyssa was saying before was because "If you're crazy, I'm riding the banana train with you."

Morpheus he's totally doable in my opinion. I would of stayed with him and be his queen, while Jeb wants her but doesn't want her but doesn't want any one else to have her. he's all over the map, he sucks! Not only that Jeb was going to leave her behind and wouldn't let her go with him, to be with the catty silver spoon fed chick. which that trip could have opened many doors for Alyssa art, therefore holding her back. Morpheus rocks and goes so well with Alyssa crazy family history and they have a child hood life and crush together. he's such a great character I would read a book on him alone.

What's up with Jeb? He wouldn't make a decision with Alyssa a talented deep original girl over the bratty annoying selfish one and was even about to leave her ruining her chances at a good art school. While Morpheus understands and connects with her on an even more emotional level.

I've already said why.

Really excited for the release of the second book! The cover looks GORGEOUS, and I think I may have to fork over some money to get myself a copy as soon as it comes out. (If not just to have Morpheus on my bookshelf.) Hoping for a bit of Team Morph in this book!

There's been a forecast for a few days of snow today.
Yesterday I walked over to my friend (Alyssa, on Team Jeb Xl) and said, "It will snow like Morpheus will win."
Most conflicted facial expression I've ever seen.
Coincidentally, there was snow covering the ground this morning when I looked out the window.

There is hope Alyssa and Morpheus could end up together! In the trylle trilogy by Amanda Hocking the main character ended up with the second love interest introduced. It is not common but the pattern of the female protagonist ending up with the male antagonist is becoming more popular among authors.
@Curly: Indeed!! The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo is a heavy example of such
I'm not sure Morpheus is an antagonist. He's shady, but I think that role belongs to the Red Queen. I think Morpheus might be a deuteragonist.
