The Stand is one of my favorite King books.

I also think that Molly Harper books are better to read in audio, the narrator does a great job!

That is weird, you think that it would be easy to find.

My favorite Stephen King book now that is tough lol I think it is still Misery or maybe Needful Things

Anyway I am reading the uncut one and I have very different thoughts about it as an adult vs the teenager I was when I read it the first stim. But jeez it is VERY long like 1200 pages

I wanted to take a peek at B&N but the one I was in did not have it in stock. Which sucked I was hoping to sneak in a short story while I waited for Jr.

My other favorite is Salem's Lot. I have the uncut Stand, but did a re-read with the audio last fall. It was somewhere around 40 hours. It seemed like it wouldn't ever end. lol

I haven't read Cujo in so long, I think I will be checking to see if my library has the audio of that one.

Actually Alisa I haven't read A Quick Bite (Argeneau, #1) by Lynsay Sands this yet either! I'm not sure why I keep looking at it and then dismissing it. For everyone that has read it, is the series worth reading ?

Alisa I'm currently reading Night Demon (Night Series, #2) by Lisa Kessler because I heard it was really dark. I'm about 20% & no dark so far. Not a bad story though.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Read Bengal's Heart (Breeds, #20) by Lora Leigh last night. I liked it but here is the think I thought in Tanners Scheme it said that Cabal was not mated hence his playboy ways. How then could he have been mated for 11 years. That was weird.

You know what else is weird, i feel like early on there was talking and laughing between the hero and heroine BUT not it seems all about 'damn you' and I am loosing my control...is it just me?? The saving grace is the over arching theme is so much better.

Ok back to my scheduled reading.

Sara | 860 comments I am halfway through Heart of Stone by C.E. Murphy and almost halfway through Drive Me Wild (The Others, #7) by Christine Warren . Heart of Stone is interesting - I have been in a gargoyle mood lately between Ever After (The Hollows, #11) by Kim Harrison and Alchemystic (The Spellmason Chronicles, #1) by Anton Strout . Alban is an interesting character and I look forward to finding out who is behind the murders. Drive Me Wild is very enjoyable so far - I've only read one other book by Christine Warren which was On the Prowl (The Others, #6) by Christine Warren - I enjoyed Rafe's appearances in the story so I am very excited to read his story.

It was. A bit rough in places but enjoyable. The gargoyle protecting the family for generations was interesting.

Alisa I have a stack of books to read but just can't figure out what to start. I spent last night watching back to back episodes of The Walking Dead & tonight catching up on Sons of Anarchy. Thought the break would help me decide but it really hasn't. Too many things I want to start (which I guess is better than nothing I want to start). I think I'm just buying time till Tues when Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward and Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2) by Jeaniene Frost come out.

message 473: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments Finished Heart of Stone by C.E. Murphy and Drive Me Wild (The Others, #7) by Christine Warren . I loved both books - Heart of Stone starts a bit slow but picks up in the second half and my only complaint of Drive Me Wild was the abrupt ending - I felt the story could have used more time. Now I'm on to Divine by Mistake (Partholon, #1) by P.C. Cast .

It should be Super Release Tuesday. I forgot about the new Gin book coming out too. I've pre-ordered a couple on my Kindle. I'm already thinking about calling in sick to work...lol I've read the Deadwood series. Light reads but pretty good.

I think I might go with that one first too, but only because I don't want to run across any spoilers from other people. Sometimes it is hard where there is a book everyone is reading.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Finishing Medium Raw A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook by Anthony Bourdain

It sucks I did not finish The Stand by Stephen King before it was due but it has disappeared from my kindle and now I am back on the list

I started Thief of Shadows (Maiden Lane, #4) by Elizabeth Hoyt Mated to the Wolf (The Ancients, #2) by Bonnie Vanak Shaman's Crossing (Soldier Son, #1) by Robin Hobb

Not sure Mated to the Wolf is going to make it. So far and I am a chapter in and it seems silly. Over all though I cannot seem to figure out what I am in the mood for. It does not help that my last batch were all fantastic!

I've read some of these. Haven't read the last few tho. But I like the series. Not the best written books but they are fun and interesting. I also like that they are an easy and quick read. I want to know what happens. I just got Awakened given to me so I'll be reading that one soon.

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments I'm currently reading Fifty Shades Freed. I haven't had much time this week to really read tho. I want to read this one to see what happens. And then I have several books to choose from after that. I really need to stay away from bookstores but I know it probably won't happen haha.

I know what you mean about audio books they take me forever to finish because I manage about an hour a day every few days lol.

Anyway if you like his show then I think you will like the book. You should try and see if you library has it.

This is my first book by him but after this one I definitely plan to read Kitchen Confidential.
