Sandra | 4734 comments I've started Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison Not sure how I feel about it yet.

message 602: by Alisa (new)

Alisa @Sandra......that book starts off slow IMO. Give it some time. It picks up. BTW, I can't believe you've not read that series yet. Its a classic. :)

Sandra | 4734 comments I know, but like you Alisa, I haven't been able to read everything yet. LOL.

That's crazy talk....LMBO. That series is the only UF/PNR I've even cried in. :(

Kassie Hocking | 10 comments Just finished a couple of books in the Christine Feehan Leopard Series; first I've read in this series and I loved them. Couldn't get into the Carpathian series though.

message 606: by Alisa (new)

Alisa I'm reading Edge of Dawn (Midnight Breed, #11) by Lara Adrian I have mixed feelings about this book. The idea was great in concept but......I'm just not sure. Will reserve judgement till I'm done.

I have tried to read Sandman Slim a couple times. It is the first one in the series. Haven't been able to get into it.

Had the same problem with Fated (Alex Verus, #1) by Benedict Jacka , put it aside for now. You'll have to let me know if it gets better.

message 611: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments I finished Unclean Spirits (The Black Sun's Daughter, #1) by M.L.N. Hanover . It was good - I liked the aspect of "spirit possession" being treated like a parasite infestation. I'm halfway through Rogue Descendant (Nikki Glass, #3) by Jenna Black and I am loving it so far.

That is good to know about Rogue Descendant I have not seen much positive about this one.

message 614: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments Finished The Mystery Woman (Ladies of Lantern Street, #2) by Amanda Quick yesterday. Another great JAK book. Only very slightly pnr this time.

message 615: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments Dawn wrote "That is good to know about Rogue Descendant I have not seen much positive about this one".

I enjoyed it - it was a filler book as it wrapped up loose ends from the previous books but the epilogue was killer. I haven't read the reviews yet - I wanted to read it with fresh eyes but I don't really have any complaints. We learned new things about Anderson & Leo, Logan was as awesome as he usually is - not as action packed as the previous book but the tidbits and character moments made up for it.

message 616: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) Read Kissing Sin (Riley Jenson Guardian, #2) by Keri Arthur and a little over halfway through The Darkest Seduction (Lords of the Underworld, #9) by Gena Showalter

Sandra | 4734 comments Just finished Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4) by Darynda Jones I want the next one NOW! Right NOW!!

message 618: by Alisa (new)

Alisa Reading Storm's Heart (Elder Races, #2) by Thea Harrison and Shattered Souls (Caitlyn O’Connell, #1) by Delilah Devlin Anybody read Shattered Souls? I'm only 25% in but it's pretty good so far. She's an ex cop who had to quit because she drank too much trying to keep the voices of the dead at bay. They call her back in on a case where the body is missing & they find a bloody handprint on the inside of the mirror. Creepy.

message 622: by Mike (new)

Mike | 353 comments Just finished listening to Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare .

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) im reading H.I.V.E. Higher Institute of Villainous Education (H.I.V.E., #1) by Mark Walden its hilariously cliche. its about a top secret school to teach talented teens to be as evil as they can be.

Aww that sucks!!
I shall endeavor to find you a new series so you will be sufficiently distracted :-)

message 625: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Ditched Fated (Alex Verus, #1) by Benedict Jacka which was a shame I really wanted to like that book. Finished Under Wraps (Underworld Detection Agency, #1) by Hannah Jayne which was ok.

Now reading Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop and listening to Spider’s Revenge (Elemental Assassin, #5) by Jennifer Estep on audio.

message 626: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

LMAO

I just got that one on my kindle. Poor Jamie I love how she is planning to at least try and move on with her life since Dante cannot quite get it together lol...I may need to finish that one lol

But Feral Sins was quite the pleasant surprise.

message 628: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments Yep, I've read Feral Sins a couple of times, really enjoyed it. All those back and forth quips with Greta. LOL.

message 629: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments I finished The Grimoire of the Lamb (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #0.4) by Kevin Hearne . A short, fun adventure set before the start of the Iron Druid series. I enjoyed seeing the return of supporting characters from the earlier books - Hal, the widow - and the return of the Third Eye shop. I'm also re-reading Dark Descendant (Nikki Glass, #1) by Jenna Black , Deadly Descendant (Nikki Glass, #2) by Jenna Black , and Pros and Cons (Nikki Glass, #2.5) by Jenna Black . I finished Rogue Descendant (Nikki Glass, #3) by Jenna Black and it put me in the mood to re-read the entire series.

message 630: by Karena (new)

Karena (karenafagan) Reading Geek Love at the moment. I had to pause this morning to read The Grimoire of the Lamb. Wonderful fun as usual.

message 631: by Alisa (last edited May 08, 2013 06:48PM) (new)

Alisa I was reading Shattered Souls (Caitlyn O’Connell, #1) by Delilah Devlin and Storm's Heart (Elder Races, #2) by Thea Harrison but then Eternal Demon (Mark of the Vampire, #5) by Laura Wright showed up in the mail yesterday and I got totally sidetracked & started that. All of the above are good.

Spider Sense (Kontra's Menagerie # 5) by Charlie Richards for a challenge I'm doing. You're supposed to find the worst kind of shifter book possible. This is about a giant tarantula shifter. The plot & the writing are both find but the creep factor is high. When he shifts and has 8 legs & 8 eyes and creeps all around, I'm well, creeped out.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) read H.I.V.E. Higher Institute of Villainous Education (H.I.V.E., #1) by Mark Walden , it was surprisingly really good. I ended up rating it four stars
I also just finished Wolf Blood by N.M. Browne which was another good book, lucky me I seem to be picking up great books l8ly!!! what can I say im on a roll :P

thinking of starting As I Wake by Elizabeth Scott

Jaime Rush (jaime_rush) | 126 comments I've actually got a number of books going, all over the house--and ipad! Texas! Lucky (Texas! Tyler Family Saga, #1) by Sandra Brown I'm almost done with. It's kind of nice to go back to those old books. I'm finally reading Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James . They haven't gotten to the kink yet. Not sure how I feel about it, but I'm determined to finish it and see what all the fuss is about.

Along Came Trouble (Camelot, #2) by Ruthie Knox This is a fun, light read to get me back into the non-paranormal romance mood.

You've not read FSoG before? All I can say (4 reads later) is that it's so much more than just a kinky book. And, you have to read all 3 books to give it justice. I hope you'll give it a chance. :)

Well, this Wolf Protector (Federal Paranormal Unit, #1) by Milly Taiden was slightly disappointing. I gave it 3.5 stars. I didn't really feel the connect between H & h, more on her part I must say.

But I can't believe how many 5 star reviews it got! They can't all be friends surely. I'll read the next one anyway cause the premise is good.
