I finished
and have started
. I enjoyed Angel's Ink - my only complaint was the plot was a little too busy. I think a few of the subplots could have waited until the next book.

its taking me forever to read
so I might put it down for a bit and get a head start on
before it has to go back to the library.
I finished
. The book has a very slow build but picks up in the middle. It has a very gritty atmosphere with several nightmare-inducing creatures. Roach-rats! I'm off to finish
.
Sandra wrote: "Dawn, that garden was really creepy!!!"It really was!! I mean it killed people then ate them..our heroine was much braver than I. LOL
I'm reading
Loving it so far. Unfortunately the kids are out of school for the summer so I have the whole parenting thing getting in the way of my reading. lol
I finished
yesterday and I really liked it. I liked the story and I liked the way she made Tiago a tough alpha but still very different from Dragos. My one complaint was how many times she described his "hawkish face". This kind of stuff doesn't ususally bother me but this was ridiculous. Yes Thea Harrison I get that he's a big bird shifter & he looks hawkish. You don't have to remind me every other page.
Finished
. I liked it - it's the first Dark-Hunter book I've read so I was confused at times but I liked the characters.

I think this is one of those series that is best read in order because the world builds with each plot. The exception is the first book Fantasy Lover because it really has nothing to do with the world.
Definitely better if you read them in order. Sadly, I've read about 8 or so, from all over the place and it wasn't the best strategy.I've started
and the world is heading for disaster!
I need to read them in order. I'm reading
next because I have the book but after that I'm starting from the beginning.
Finished
and
. I really enjoyed both books but I did like the Curse Merchant a little bit more. It's very much in the vein of Harry Dresden or Jesse Dawson. Started
and
both of these are awesome so far. And slowly making my way through
Just finished
. Now reading
and listening to
(I read Unwind when it first came out and wanted to refresh my memory)
Just finished
and
and am now starting
I like to read a series straight thru if I can but only have the first 5. No idea what I will read after that. My tbr pile is out of control.

Alisa wrote: "Someone just gave me Tiger Magic. Does this series need to be read in order or can I read that alone?"For this book I would the series, only because Tiger is an unusual person and you really need his back story.
I also think the shifters in the book have a different take than most books out there. Plus the series is a good one to read.

"How is Heart of Obsidian? I am waiting for the paperback. I did however purchase Tiger Magic and I cannot wait I just love those stories.
Oh and let me know about Tempest Reborn, I am not sure I want to buy it I think i may have to wait on the library.
Darcy wrote: "Dawn wrote: "How is Heart of Obsidian?"I am about halfway thru, not bad, but moves very slowly."
I hate slow moving starts lol

Love this series."This one of my favorite series, Secret is a great character.
only like 18% into
painting, finding a job and dealing with all three of my kids hasnt given me much time to read, or work on my blog, though I did work on it today, and get it updated and re-situated again...so if you get a chance check it out.http://bookloverscozycafe.blogspot.com

I agree Anna ;) Generally I don't like the triangle but it sorta works here cause she's half wolf half vamp.
The Darkest Pleasure (Lords of the Underworld #3) Gena Showalter, The series has been a solid 3 stars so far.

I liked it. The wrap-up of the plot at the end was a bit busy/abrupt. The characters are very enjoyable. Rio is a great heroine - funny, brave but smart enough to know her limitations. Luke is the male lead of the book - he's a blast - he'd get along very well with Harry Dresden. The supporting characters - Kit, Abernathy, Miro, etc - all fun. Bordertown itself has a lot of potential as a setting. I will definitely be continuing this series.

I thought the world was good and will be reading more too.

I'm glad to hear that's good. It's been on my tbr list for awhile now.

I've noticed a lot of people reading the first few and it's been a long time since I've read them. Plus Kane's book will be out soon (although I have a bad, bad feeling about this book).
