Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Harry Potter never interested me as a kid.
I wasn't into wizards.

I really want to read it now though, see what all the fuss is about.

I borrowed the first book from my primary schools library, didn't interest me.. moved schools and forgot to take it back...Oops.
I've lost it now though.

I found the harry potter books a bit slow. I liked them better after I had seen the films though, and I liked reading them whilst using pottermore too.

That's exactly what i said.
It made me laugh to be honest. She had on her bio "People who tell me i'm not a true book fan because i don't like classics can piss off!"

So glad i didn't pay for it.

Wow really? We all have different tastes, whether it be in books, music, clothes, etc. It's arrogant of anyone to say that you aren't a true book lover because you haven't read the same books as him or her.

I remember how i got that series!
My nan bought me a sketchpad craft thing for £1 when i was 8 and i took it to school.
This girl came up to me, and asked if i wanted to swap it for the book, because she couldn't read.
It was a really pretty hardback edition aswell.
I've still got it somewhere.

I am a part of a movie group and they all say "you don't understand anything if you haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption. Guess what, I haven't seen it. But that doesn't uncount my opinion.I sure as hell know what I like.

Don't listen to those arrogant buffoons. You don't have to read, or like HP because a lot of other people do. as sarah said, they most definitely need to grow up.

P.S: If I hadn't read HP as a child (and I mean a child, I was in third grade when the first book came out), I'm not sure I would have liked it either.

I thought it was okay, but you're right about it being morose. Why anybody needs 3 copies is beyond me though!

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3827 comments Has anybody seen this movie?

My hubby and I are planning on watching a scary movie tonight since it's Friday the 13th and of course, I was intrigued by this one since it's about people reading a book and being "infected" (best word I could come up with to describe what happens to the people) by what they read. Sounds kind of cheesy and looks kind of cheesy, but it's a horror movie about books so I just had to ask! Lol :D
