I don't want up I to worry about me...I am okay with losing my wings, I swear... *I smile and quickly get up to pack a picnic basket for us for our trip to the falls*

* Mike sighs quietly...worried about her. When he joins her and they head out he's smiling for her. A large contingent of animals follows them out so Mike runs back and fills another basket with meat for them....just in case. Then dogs, cats, horses and so on move on toward some falls they had found in their wanderings. *
*I set the basket down and pull out a big blanket. With a quick flick of my wrists, the blanket flutters out and lands perfectly on the ground. I sit down and pull the basket close then pat the spot next to me for you to join me*
*Mike joins her...flipping some meat out at a little distance so the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies won't swarm them begging. The horses are grazing in the grass nearby. The place is shaded by trees with small song birds flitting about and singing. *[on and off for a bit getting dinner ready and so on.]
*I smile and hand you a steak burger on a plate then I take out some gourmet shrimp tacos for myself and place them on another plate* This is really a nice place. I'm so glad that we found it. Reminds me of the falls on the Doctor's planet but its even more special since it is ours and ours alone. *I take a bite of my tacos*(Yes I am craving the gourmet shrimp tacos from Rubio's lol)
Once you're well we can cover the entire tropical and temperate parts of the planet a little at a time. I suppose it could be selfish to keep a world to ourselves but once others come...well it won't be the same. But for a while, some years at least we can keep it quiet...maybe all our lives. I have trouble picturing this much peace without trouble * Mike laughs at himself* Think I'll treasure it.[Left overs here...Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage and Mexican chicken with corn and tomatoes...I got the chicken a little too hot for my daughter]
Yes treasure it and enjoy it. I just hope the overlords are truly gone. Riddick heard rumors that there are a couple still alive but I am hoping that they are still just rumors. *I eat one taco and start on the next.*
Let's not think about it. There's always some overlord or dictator or something. Hopefully someone else can take them on for a while... Maybe the superheroes who ended up in that last battle? * Mike bites into his burger *
*I finish my taco and start on my third, my ability to eat having returned over the past few days.* I hope so too...we need a long vacation. And I can't wait to go swimming. But first we eat then we swim.
....I think you're supposed to wait an hour before you swim....

Are you suurree......??????* as she sets her food down he tackles her and the roll into the water laughing....trouble set aside for a while*
*I squeal when you attack me and laugh even harder once we hit the water. I swim back to the surface, taking In a deep breath and shake my head, playfully glaring at you*
* Mike looks innocent and about 12 years old*....but I thought you wanted to get started swimming....
Not with you making us tumble in...and I still have my clothes on. I wanted to change into my bathing suit first. Sheesh! *I laugh as I swim back towards the edge of the pool*
Bathing suit????Bathing suit????? There's not another human for 10 light years.* Mike dives under and grabs her feet. In short they have a wonderful afternoon. *
[turning in soon. Hooked on a book ([book:The Ten Thousand|3391271]) and will probably lay awake for a few hours reading, LOL]
*After several hours of swimming and playing around, I finally pull myself out and lay on the edge, catching my breath and letting the warm sun dry my hair and skin.* This is paradise.(Just make sure you actually go to bed tonight)
* Mike joins her and stretches out*I agree.
[night. going to lay down now. As I only slept maybe 3 hours last night I'll probably sleep tonight, LOL]
Our paradise! *I roll onto my side and kiss you. The animals leave to give us privacy*(Night..put the book away!)
* Three years pass almost without notice on the small world and they have planted gardens, put up buildings and even dug pools. Around their home flower gardens bloom, paths of colored smooth river gravel meander here and there. Mike is working on a foot bridge that will cross a stream between two of the pools. *
[I did probably around 1:00. :)]
*I put down a basket full of veggies from our garden on the table, wiping the sweat from my forehead. I wash them off and begin to cut some up for lunch, making a big salad to go next to our steak sandwiches from the ship. I then peel and mash potatoes and put everything on a big plate, carrying them out to where you are building the bridge.* Mike...lunch time!( bad Mike bad lol)
* Mike stands from his work and marvels again that they've been able to stay here all this time without "something" forcing them away. He smiles and waves.*Okay, just let me wash up.
[It's a good book, LOL. I didn't get up till 11:00 today]
*I balance the plates on one arm as I find a place to sit in the green grass. I sit down and set the plates down and wait for you, nibbling on some of the veggies.* I can't believe it's been three years....it's been so peaceful I love it!(Zzzzzzzz)
I know...* Mike crunches into the salad * I've got to admit I'm enjoying building this place up.
*I nod* Me too now that I am strong enough to help out. After the bridge, what else do we need to do?
* Mike laughs and smiles* I don't know. Maybe we should start to set some flowering trees close by. We could also add some more fruit trees, maybe try to start a few bee hives close...It's sort of whatever we'd like to do.
*I bite into my sandwich as I looked around* I think bee hives would be fun so we can make out own honey instead of having to rely too much on the ship. *My eyes wander up towards the sky* I hope Riddick is safe. He hasn't contacted us in a while and he is always prompt to talk to us. You don't think he has been captured or anything do you? *I look back at you worriedly*
Well...call him if you're worried. You can send a subspace message and also set a repeating message if you don't get him right away.
I..I already did last week and I still haven't heard from him. *I put my sandwich down*
Well...hummm, where was his last location? You know, the last time he called you? What was he into?
*I think for a moment* When I last talked to him, he was several light years from us...closer to the planet we had left behind with the intelligent monkeys. He wanted to check to make sure that everything was going well on the planet since we had left.
That's the last you heard? Hummm.....well, how long ago was that? Was he already at the planet?
No he was a jump away and this was four weeks ago.
* Mike sits a long time looking thoughtful then looks up*Do you want to go?
*I shake my head* No...maybe...I don't know. I want to stay here where it's safe but I'm worried too. *I push my plate away, bring my knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around me legs*(Hitting the sheets...sooo tired. Nighty night. No late night reading this time sir lol)
* Mike sits and watches Lacy then slides over and pulls her head into his lap stroking her hair.*[night]
*I sigh as I close my eyes, enjoying your fingers running through my hair. I open them and look up at you* What do you think we should do? Should we wait for another week, try contacting him, or go?
I don't want to go....if we do we'll be back in it. But we can't leave him in the lurch, if he's in the lurch. Do you know anyone else we can call. Is there anyone you can trust to go check it out?
*I think for a moment* The Justice League...we can contact them to check it out.
Okay....I'll put in the call. Do you want to do it and is there a member you'd like to talk to?
*I shake my head* You can do it...Green Lantern usually answers so he'll be fine to talk to. They'll go for us and they will contact us as soon as they ow something. But lets first finish lunch...
Okay.... * Mike kisses her, and goes to the ship. After a while he returns*He said that they'll get out there. They'll call us in a few days, after the light jump.
*I sigh a little* I hope I'm just overreacting...and he is fine and there is nothing wrong..
Well, try not to worry. Nothing we can do till they call us back.
*I nod and force a smile* How much more do you need to do on the bridge? Do you need any help?
Sure, I've got the supports and the rails up. Now the treads just need to be nailed in place.
*I pack up the trash from out lunch then grab a hammer* Ready for duty, sir! *I giggle*
* They finish the bridge and continue to try and enjoy their time together...but Lacy is obviously worried. Five days later Mike is on the far side of the clearing transplanting miniature apple trees and Lacy is inside the ship getting Mike and herself a cold drink when a communication alert sounds. *
*I hear the sound and run to the communication room* Hello? Hello? This is Lacey who is this?
* Green Lantern answers saying they are at the planet where the conflict of the final battle took place. *
