Maybe. I've got some reports here from the Rangers on Billy's home world. It looks like the entire planet was somehow...gassed. All the humans and all the primates died. But whoever it was left Billy alive somehow to be picked up by out bounty hunters.

Really? That is strange. I wonder why just Billy? I'm sure there were other children so why kill all of them except for him? Makes no sense.
No...not unless there's something special about him, some ability he has or may develop. Well, we'll keep looking. For now he's just a little boy who need a loving home.
How horrible! *I watch as Billy, Jackie, Sophia, and Kyle play games together.* whoever is doing this is horrible horrible people.
* Another 8 days in hyperspace and the next destination is only another day away. Then they will be heading home with Sophia and Billy.Mike sits in the control room, Sophia asleep on his lap and Billy napping in one of the chairs. Everything is normal and the odd looking non-space with weird flashing lights that is hyperspace hangs outside on the viewing screen.
His thoughts worry at what's happened in the last few months. He'll be double sure that there's no way they can be traced back to their secret world. *
*I am napping in the room with Tor and the other animals, snuggled up close to them*
*Linda and Jackie are asleep to. Mike carries both the little ones to their beds and then checks in on everyone else. Only about twenty more hours and they'd have Linda and Jackie to their parents. At least they lived in the same settlement. They'd have each other after all the time they'd spent prisoners and lost.Mike leans over Lacy and kisses her, then he speaks softly...*
Want to get breakfast and everything ready? We need to have everything we want to send with Jackie and Linda ready. Their folks will be in a hurry to see them.
* Mike kisses her again softly, longer than before. Then he strokes her face and sits back out of her way. *
*I sigh and open my eyes with a smile* Do we really have to get up? So comfy. *I point at you* You don't look comfy. Here let me help you with that. *Tor and the other animals lift their head with sheepish grins then jump on you*
*I laugh and stretch as I sit up. Tor turns his head and gives you the biggest wettest kiss followed by a big wet kiss from Strong Knight* Yes I do and you love me for that.
Oh, not just for that...* They laugh and embrace again. After a short time they are ready to face the day. Of course they don't have to wake the kids as they're up as soon as they hear Mike and Lacy moving around. They already have their clothes (Mike and Lacy have fabricated new clothes, shoes etc. for both of them) and all the other things they've accumulated packed and waiting. Mike and Lacy have some things for them to.*
Well guys eat hardy, this will be an eventful day. We'll be to the star system soon.
*I follow behind the kids to the mess hall. I then sit down across from the kids as they all devour their special breakfasts they wanted and ate on my own dish of biscuits and gravy. I look up at you and smile patting the seat next to me.*
* Mike brings his plate over. He leans down and kisses Lacy (to which Sophia and Billy make gagging noises). He sets his plate down and sits down he and Lacy laughing at the younger kids.Jackie and Linda are smiling at the two younger children. They are a little torn at leaving but also want to be with their families.*
*I see the older children's eyes and see the sadness in them. I smile gently but don't bring it up, knowing that they will be okay. I go back to eating and drinking some grapefruit juice* Are you guys ready to get off this ship?
*They answer yes but there's a mixed feel. Then the alert that they are about to drop out of hyperspace sounds. Mike eats his last bite of steak and rises, taking his tea with him.*Well, almost there. We'll see how far we are from the planet in just a few minutes. Depends on how far out in the system the jump point is.
* Jackie and Linda ask if they can some and watch and Mike tells them sure, he'd like to have them.
As Jackie and Linda stand and follow him to the control room their surreptitiously join hands.
{By the way I sense you may be a fan. Have you seen that there's a new Riddick movie coming out next month?}
*I spy their hand holding and smile mentally telling you* A strong budding friendship between those two. *I take Sophia and Billy with me once they are done and get them ready.*
* Mike works at answering. His strength is with animals but he and Lacy have worked enough that she can usually hear him.*Okay. We'll undoubtedly be at least a few hours out. If it's the wrong time in the planet's orbit we could have another day or so, but I doubt it will be that long.
(I still need to check out the trailer for the movie and yes I will be seeing it mwhahaha Riddick is my here lol)*Once the other two are ready, they go to play in one of their rooms, leaving me to shower and get ready myself. I then go to the reading room and read to Billy and Sophia who joined me*
* The drop out of hyperspace is uneventful and Mike dispatches a subspace message to let the planet know they have arrived.The planet is about four hours away.*
*I continue to read but Sophia and Billy were working on coloring pictures for the other children to take with them to remember them by just as they had done before when they dropped off Kyle. I glance over at them and smile before I turn back to my book, leaning up against Tor*
* Mike has fabricated several gifts he and Lacy decided on. He helps the kids make sure they have everything ready to go and then spends the time just talking to them.Soon, it seems, they arrive at the colony planet. this one is developed enough to have an actual space port.*
*I put my book away and get Sophia and Billy with my, joining you and the others in the front, eyes the planet* Very nice place.
Looks like they have a lot of development. Well, I've docked us in orbit up here. Let's take a shuttle down. All the baggage in the hanger and ready?
Yep, everything is ready to. But the animals said they will stay on here and say good bye on the ship. Shall we go?
Okay.* The flight down goes smoothly and before long the shuttle settles into an apparently well run landing sight. They are all directed into a large cool building (as the area is semitropical) to meet the families.*
Not a bad tropical vacation spot. Might have to come back here for one. *I smile as I look from you to the families telling them hello and accepting happy hugs from them*
Hope it's nice as it looks...* Mike smiles and greets the kids' families. Everyone introduces each other all around. They go to a local restaurant to eat. It seems that since the "raid" where several (other)children had been taken and several people killed that the two families had resettled and were now close together. They were living in an agricultural settlement about fifty miles distant from the city where the space port is located. There are now three actual cities on the planet.
After a while things have to break up. Goodbys are said, hugs exchanged and promises to keep in touch are made. Then Mike, Lacy, Sophia and Billy are alone.*
Well while we're here do you want to do some sight seeing, shopping, pick up some new entertainment discs, do some touristy things before we go home?
Eat at more restaurants?
I think that sounds like a fabulous idea. Maybe find something new and fun for the kids. *Sophia and Billy grin excitedly, grab our hands, and drag us back out onto the street, ready to go.*
* The "city" is large enough that franchises from off world have set up businesses so we have a long afternoon rushing from place to place as the kids have never seen anything like this before. They use their Fed Credits for the first time in years, but the accounts are still in good shape.Soon we have to get a wheeled cart to carry all the purchases. *
So, do you think one trip like this will spoil them?
* Mike smiles at her*
I expect they'll need something to keep them from thinking about the kids who aren't here anymore.
*I laugh* Well if they do become spoiled brats, I'm blaming you 100%, lover.
Hey....well maybe I will be to blame. I love to spoil kids. We'll just have to stay close as a family.[Been off line all day. Stomach problems.]
And we will..we'll have swimming time, maybe go to other planets for vacations like this one, go on hikes, movie nights, game nights along with picnics and school of course. But we will definitely be a close family. *I smile happily at the thoughts as we head back for our ship with our purchases*(. :-( I'm sorry)
* After the purchases are transferred from the shuttle to the ship's bay mi steps back and looks.*Wow, I didn't really realize how much we bought. I guess this can happen when you only go shopping every 5 years or so.
Humm, are all these toys???? We'll never top this at Christmas.
* Quickly they are back at the jump point and on their way home (with Sophia and Billy helping of course). Soon Mike is reading to the to of them as Lacy tucks them in. They fall asleep quickly as the excitement has worn them out. *
*i kiss their foreheads and sigh lightly, my shoulders sagging from exhaustion.* I'm ready for that too.
* Mike smiles and takes her hand as they ease quietly out of the room where the two have both fallen asleep*We can move them back to their own rooms soon, but they probably need to know they are not alone for now. I guess having brothers and sisters who don't stay can be tough.
Well, we better get some rest. They'll be up early wanting to play with all their new stuff.
*I groan as I let your lead me back to our room so we can sleep* I don't want to...my head hurts and my feet hurt...I just want to sleep then take a long bath tomorrow. *I laugh and walk into our room, collapsing on the bed*
* Mike kisses her and pulls the sheet up around her. *Welcome to motherhood...gives us something to look forward to huh?
* brushes his teeth and rolls into bed to drop off for a few hours.*
*Once you hit the bed, I snuggle closer and fall asleep leaning up against you*
* Mike snores slightly till Lacy rolls him over...then mumbles* sorry I'll clean up the mess later...
*I giggle at you then roll onto my left side and fell back to sleep. We sleep fitfully until two little rascals run into our room, jump on our bed, being careful with me, and shout* Wake up!
Aiiii!!!!!* Mike sits up and fumbles for his gun...which is across the room. Looks around...takes a breath...sighs, smiles...then grabs Billy and Sophia and starts to tickle them*
*I groan with a smile on my face and cover my head with the covers* Noooo! Let me sleep! *Sophia and Billy squeal, wiggle, and laugh as you tickle them*
* Mike reaches over and includes Lacy in the tickles...which thrills the kids and they join in. Soon everyone is rumpled together laughing. *Okay, okay...maybe we should brush our teeth and get dressed...maybe even eat breakfast.
* Lacy hits Mike with a pillow...hard.*

Well you deserved it. If your son was kicking more I would have him kick you too. *I stick my tongue out at you, hit you again with the pillow, then get up*
Mommy is assaulting daddy...* The kids laugh *
Okay...off you go, brush teeth, get dressed and don't forget to put your pjs in the laundry chute so they'll be ready for tonight.
Everybody want eggs and pancakes? Maybe some sausage or bee?
*I laugh as the kids run out screaming and chasing each other down the hallway to get dressed, shouting yes for eggs and pancakes. I slip into the shower to quickly freshen up, still feeling tired*
* Mike joins her...*Just saving water for the trip.
*Fairly soon they are getting dressed and heading for the galley to prepare breakfast. Tor chuckles along behind along with Knight. The other animals are with the kids. *
*I stretch a little and glance back at our shadows before I enter the mess hall* How much longer until we reach home? I want to be off of this ship in fresh air again. Plus we need to check on our garden. We haven't left it this long unattended and I don't want those blue jays eating at the watermelons again.
Probably just weeds mostly. A chance get the kids to help...of course they'll step on some of the plants, but they need to learn.Anyway, we should be home in about 5 days love.
*I sigh heavily* Having been on the planet for so long has definitely made me not like long space travel like I use to. * I smile at you, kissing you lightly before I begin to bring plates to the table for breakfast. Billy and Sophia rush in combining to be starving*
