The total posted in the Readerboard thread for Goodreads authors does not correspond to what I have in my spreadsheet. I should have 8 but only 7 were counted.

I used the link http://www.howmanysyllables.com/howto... provided in the task help to count. It does not have an answer for the work "changeling", so I counted the vowels, as instructed. I did not count the e in the middle of the word as a "silent" vowel, because it is in the middle, and I pronounce it with 3 syllables.
However, I will retract the submission and use the book somewhere else.
I have a question though. I counted my name as 5 syllables, because I used the same rules referenced above (silent e at the end of "Anne"). However, in my own language, "Anne" is pronounced and counted as 2 syllables. So do I use 5 (as I did) or should I use 6?
I appreciate your help with this! English rules are sometimes beyond me!

That's OK, Marie-Anne, English rules are sometime beyond me, too, and it's my native language! If you pronounce "Anne" with 2 syllables, you should use 6.

Book 2 is fine, but Star of the Morning won't work for book 1 because it has only 4 words in the title. You need one with a 5 word title.

Please note that I made a mistake in post 1418. The edition I read is from 1997 and has the original date as 1997, not 1992 as I claimed.
