Sandra (sandra72) | 714 comments 20.4 - Author!Author! - Janice CA's Task: Renaissance Authors

Sail by James Patterson

Approved for this task in post #48 of Task Help Thread.

I have three children so I'm always looking for books that will spark the love of reading in them (especially for the boys) so I like the fact that an author I enjoy reading has created all these wonderful programs and websites to help me in my search.

From his wikipedia page:

"Patterson founded the James Patterson PageTurner Awards in 2005 to donate over US$100,000 that year to people, companies, schools, and other institutions that find original and effective ways to spread the excitement of books and reading.[8] The PageTurner Awards were put on hold in 2008 to focus on Patterson's new initiative, ReadKiddoRead.com, which helps parents, teachers, and librarians find the best books for their children. Patterson has also set up the James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarship in the schools of education at Appalachian State [9] Michigan State,[10] and Florida Atlantic University.[11]"

James Patterson is a Goodreads author.
