I just saw this Terri. I am so sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you had yourself checked out since you are on Coumadin. Glad you didn't seriously hurt yourself.

Cindy, I know that, but I intensely hate being treated like a grade schooler. "Okay, class, little Johnny put a tack on my chair so none of you are going to the library today..." It's EXACTLY what it feels like. I've ranted at length at the PA that usually sees me about it, and once wrote a long and very angry letter to the doctor who owns the clinic, but knowing how these things work, probably some secretary opened it and threw it away and it was never seen by the doctor...11:24 p.m. EST Just up from a nap. Oh, I had such a scare earlier! I had closed my bedroom window in the late afternoon when I decided to take a nap in hopes of cooling it down in here a bit, and after the sun was low enough, I decided to open it back up and let the cooler night air in. It was still fairly light, and I saw ... something on the driveway. I looked. Was that a CAT?? Had those assholes next door been tearing up and down the street again and hit a CAT?? So I went tearing outside and to my dismay even the door opening provoked no reaction. I started walking toward it, dreading seeing a mangled cat corpse, when it suddenly raised its head and looked at me. *whew* OMG, it was just stretched out on the pavement having a nap and basking like a snake... I crouched and clucked at it a bit, but it seemed wild, so I didn't try to approach any closer, instead going back inside. I figured maybe my Erasmus would to talk to it through the window, but as I was asking Erasmus if that was his friend out there, I saw it jump up and head around into the backyard...
Again... *whew* 'Cause I had forgotten I had on a top that is totally see-through... It probably would not have gone well if it had been a dead cat and I'd gone ranting and raving over at the guys next door... O.O (What? It's COOL...) Fortunately no one saw me... except maybe Google Earth... <.< o.o >.>
5:59am est - checking in on GR instead of getting ready for work. I better get a move on or I'm going to be late.

2:10pm just walked my friend home after a girly night in now to read my book
8:38 AM. Stayed up kind of late to finish Horns, but still have about twenty pages left to read of it this morning. About to make a bowl of cereal and some coffee, and read. Thinking I will start NOS4A2 today, too. Mark is still here because he has a class to go to, and it was nice to sleep in a bit with him.
10:05 a.m. Getting ready to walk to gym and workout. Then some minor shopping and walk home. Ah, then I will have no guilt when I sit for two hours and read. Sounds like a plan to me.

It was after he was caught abusing his prescription drugs that they really started making it difficult to receive the medications. I can't even have them prescribed by anyone but a pain specialist, since I take them for a chronic condition. One or two prescriptions from my regular doctor would be okay, but if he prescribed them for me on a regular basis, he could lose his license. It's ridiculous!
11:36 a.m. EST Oh, dear... I meant to take a nap but I thought I might be able to fix this manuscript but ... nope. I have the editing done (for the most part) but there were some formatting issues I needed to fix before I can run a spelling/grammar check. It's a slow process. So I'm clearing out e-mail quick, and then I'll probably take a nap soonish.
10:56 AM. Finished Horns a few minutes ago and am writing my review. :)
It is 12:52pm and taking a quick break at work to check GR. Can't wait for the day to be over so I can get home and get back into the book I started yesterday. I must say I am really enjoying it.
3:51 p.m. and I just got home from work a short time ago. Feel bad because I thought today was the 28th until half way through my shift and the 28th was one of the grandkids birthday. I am gonna stop by and wish her a belated happy birthday in a couple of hours. First, I plan to take a shower and cook dinner. Would like to read for a bit today but I'm not sure if it's gonna happen. Hope everyone is having a great day.
4:40 p.m. EST Just back from some lunch, and then it's back to the detail work on this manuscript.

7:54 PM. Well, Mark ate lunch at four, so he isn't hungry. So, I am eating soup and an egg sandwich. Got Mark's truck inspected, and even got to read a little of nos4a2 while I was there. So far, I am liking it. Will be eating a big bowl of fresh cherries later and continuing with my reading. The storms are lovely, too. :) Hope everyone is having a great evening/day!

10:18 p.m. and I'm reading NOS4A2 for an hour or so before going to bed. I swear I think I have ADD or something. IF I focus, I can get a lot of reading done in a relatively short period of time. BUT I typically read for about 3-5 minutes and then get distracted. Hmmm.
11:19 p.m. and I really don't want to, but I must go to bed. Doc said so. Sweet dreams everyone!

1:03 a.m. EST never did manage to sleep today. But finally did finish that first pass. Now to try to fit in a 2nd pass on Tracy Sharp tomorrow... O.O But first... I'm trying to drug myself to sleep.

3:05pm just got home from the shop, bought 2 new books and 3 new films. Going to snuggle under my blanket with a hot drink and one of my old favourite films and my book :3
9:27 AM. Eating some raisin bran cereal and catching up on GR. Hoping it rains today. Will be reading NOS4A2 this morning. Might make a delicious cup of coffee, too. :)
11:58 a.m. Time for some lunch, then off to the library!

Just called in my renewals. The little one's not feeling good today.... :-(Taking notes while she's relaxing. She really doesn't want to be bothered. Hope she feels better.

Talked to my cousin and she hadn't realized how much trouble I have with standing and walking for long distances, plus has no one else to sit in the family pew (since most of them don't approve of her marrying another woman), so instead she, her fiancee and I will go out Sunday to pick out an outfit, and then my husband and I will sit in the "family pew" at the front... by ourselves, as it turns out. This has to be so distressing for her, and it hurts me that our family is so hateful. Family is FAMILY and none of that should matter - we should turn out and be happy for her. Plus her fiancee is such a sweetie - I haven't met her in person yet but we talk on FB all the time and share a love of cats and cute little fluffy things :-) Anyway, oh, and I'm being attacked in the comments on a review in Amazon by someone who thinks they know who I am and can't even spell my name! LOL What a moron. Need to clear out my e-mail and then do a second pass on Tracy Sharp's upcoming new novel (info at this link, including a cover reveal and the trailer, if you're curious).

2:00 PM. I have been distracted and not reading as much as I had planned. Thinking I might take a break and do some house work.
3:14 p.m. Okay, have my weekend blog posts set up, so... editing.
8:19pm starting to get a sore throat so made some hot lemon squash to soothe it. Just finished my book so now I'll start to watch another film or I might read, not too sure yet
5:47 p.m. Got off from work at 3 p.m., went to the bank and store. Now I'm home cooking dinner. Put a meatloaf in the oven, spinach and corn are the side dishes. Gonna read for about thirty minutes while the food is cooking.
