7:53 p.m. and I just got back from my son's house. Had a pleasant surprise when I walked in the door. My honey washed the dishes, made the bed, cleaned off the kitchen table, and straightened up while I was gone. Now I have no excuse for getting up and running around like a mad person. Only reading and a shower before bed.

Hi Cindy - when the show comes back on, I finish the sentance I'm on then put my book aside until next commercial break. I did take some time though.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 10 p.m. EST Had a fun afternoon shopping with my cousin and her fiancee; found a really adorable outfit to wear for the wedding. I surprised myself with how good I looked in it... :-) the only thing left is to figure out what shoes to wear with it. If I'd asked, she probably would have bought me shoes, too, but I figured I'd figure out the shoes; it was enough she bought me the dress, a little sweater for over it AND some foundation garments... Then I came home and read for awhile, but I was tired, so I laid down right as thunderstorm hit. I think lightning might have hit just down the street a bit; one of the thunder booms literally rattled the windows. And it just POURED rain for about 10 minutes. One of those really intense but short ones. Now I'm up, for awhile. Starting tomorrow I have two manuscripts to edit for Steve Peek and will probably have E.J. Dabel's back for a second pass later this week, too. So a really busy week!

9:08PM Well good evening to all of you my loves! I am happily sitting here catching up on GR. I am unhappy because I did not read like I wanted to. I would just get busy with one thing then it led to another thing and another and so on and so on....but now this evening I will read and hopefully be able to finish tomorrow with this first book.

Sounds like everyone had a pretty decent day and I love to read that! Makes me happy when everyone else is happy! So now I shall read and maybe have some honey tea and wait and see if my grandbaby arrives tonight.

message 4661: by [deleted user] (new)

10:14 p.m. and unfortunately Janie this sounds like my typical day anymore. Sorry to hear that your day was a bit trying. Hope you get some reading done tonight.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 10:50 p.m. EST Almost done clearing out e-mail. Sure wish there was some food in the house... *sigh* I eat the last of the yogurt earlier and that was pretty much it unless I want to fry an egg or something, but I did that day before yesterday and would like something different... I might just go back to bed again.

8:02AM Good morning GR. I am currently working on the laundry, reading here on GR, sipping my honey tea, and plan on reading as much as I can before my blessed grand baby comes at 2.

I am really enjoying Odd in this book! It can get slow at times but it has managed to keep my attention. I would like to finish today, but I highly doubt that since Aeverie is coming and I want to spend all day with him. Have a great day everyone!

6:10 p.m. and once again it is a hectic day *sigh*. I had planned on going somewhere around 7 p.m. but I just now finished eating dinner and I've read absolutely nothing today other than about five pages at work. Think I'm just gonna stay in tonight and take a chill pill. Relax is the operative word tonight.

6:55pm EST. Relaxing after dinner and getting ready to watch baseball. Saw ortho MD this am and he thinks my increased pain is nerve related so I got a shot of an anti=inflammatory steroid. I also have arthritis in my hip and pelvis but that should be manageable. So, things are looking up! I've had my 3rd good day in a row which is almost unprecedented! Beautiful day today--sunny and breezy and not too hot. Went for a good walk and got my exercises done. Now if I can just keep it up... Have a great evening all my GR friends!

I am so happy for you Terri. When you are in constant pain, a good day once in a while is a blessing. THREE? That is awesome. You have a great evening also.

7:22 p.m. and I really want to finish the book I'm reading before my next buddy read starts on the 5th. However, I said earlier it was gonna be a night of relaxation and I feel like watching TV for a bit. Will continue with the reading in a little bit.

Not saying that reading isn't relaxing in it's own way. I just feel like taking a break from it for an hour or two.

Was it Toradol? That stuff does wonders for muscle pain, anyway. Whatever it was, I hope it helped. I have arthritis in my hips, too, and it can be quite aggravating.

8:19 p.m. EST Taking a break from editing, think I'll take a nap. Been a busy day so far!

7:29PM Had Beef Manhattan for dinner, cleaned up, took Aeverie outside to play in the water. He had a blast. Came in and worked out, I am back at round 2 of recovery. Was a great workout. Now enjoying some coffee with Odd! Here is Aeverie outside.

Terri so glad you are having a few good days!
Cindy I understand wanting to relax with something other than a book.

10:13 p.m. and I'm gonna read for about an hour before bed now that The Voice is off. I really need to start going to bed a little earlier but it's hard when you've been on second shift for 8 years and then switch to day shift. I am lucky as it is to have trained myself to go to bed by midnight. I get up at 5:30 so I should really start making an attempt at bed somewhere around 10. It's just really hard for me to do. Oh well, not tonight! I'm reading for an hour at least.

9:17PM Been trying to get a couple of games on Aeverie's tablet for him, well actually his mommy's tablet. It is really not going well. Randy is working on it now. I have actually gotten to read some while Aeverie has been here. I reached pg 300 Yay!

message 4684: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 9:25 PM. Mark got home about 8 pm, and we ate a delicious and healthy dinner I cooked. He discovered the heater in the fish tank was busted, so we had to go get a new one, plus more water conditioner. We are about to clean our 75 gallon fish tank because we have had two fish die in two days :(. I kept telling him he needs to clean the tank, (I am too short to do it), and I think with two fish dying, he is finally listening to me.

Afterwards, I think I might make some coffee and keep on reading NOS4A2. I wish I didn't get so distracted when I read because I want to know what happens, but it is what it is. I guess when you think about it, I am savoring the story. :) Can't wait to get Joyland tomorrow!!!

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Awww, Janie, what a little cutie!

11:26 p.m. EST Just took a short nap, but am back up. I am SOOOOOOOOOO hungry but there is nothing to eat. *pouts* Dmitry went to the store today, but as far as I can tell all he bought was milk and a loaf of French bread! What good is that; there isn't any lunch meat and the mayo is 3 years old, so I'm guessing it's not any good anymore.... My head is all spinny, serious. This sucks. Oh, well, better go back to editing; at least it will take my mind off being hungry...

10:21AM Happily sharing my library with Aeverie this AM. He is sitting there with his cereal, playing on his Mama's tablet, and I am going to indulge in a cup o honey tea. Gonna finish this book today. Aeverie was really good about letting me read yesterday, I hope he is just as good today. Today is Kay's last full day of school. She has 2 short days after that.

Good Morning my GR friends! And thanks everyone I will be sure to let Aeverie know y'all think he is cute. LOL

Janie, Aeverie is just adorable!

Cindy, thanks for the good wishes! Hope you're taking good care of yourself.

11:27am EST. Another beautiful morning and my 4th good day in a row after another good night's sleep! It's amazing what good sleep will do to improve your outlook. I've had my walk already and am getting ready to have some lentils for lunch. Starting some new books today, plan to spend the afternoon reading until I have to go get blood drawn. 4:15 p.m. and once again I'm running around like a fool doing too many things with too little time. Hey, I have an idea. Why don't I make a list and I'm sure one of my GR's buddies will volunteer to complete everything on my to-do list for one day. Jokes aside, we are all busy at various times. I'm sure it will settle down in a day or two. Hope everyone is having a great day!

I have about 30 minutes to read then I need to get into the shower. Next up is my daughter's house for dinner at 5. Then I need to have Jeff across town for a get together with some of his friends by 7. Then I need to be somewhere by 7:30 while he is with them. Will be home probably around 9 or so and hope to get at least an hour of reading in tonight before bed.
