I hear ya Chuck; this weather is driving me nuts! I wish it would make up it's mind. We're probably in for a ridiculously hot summer.

Not really really early, but around 7:30 which is considered early for me, I normally get up around 8:00 or 8:30.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 11:11 p.m. EST Had a good nap, but a weird and unsettling dream right before I woke up has left me out of it. Expect Dmitry home soon, unless he again took Fernando home - that always turns into a later night than he means. He managed to misplace his Kindle yesterday. Thank goodness he had given me my prescription to put in my wallet (he'd had it stored in his Kindle). Still, I hope he finds it soon. I know how aggravating it is to lose one!

Thanks so much, Kathryn. I'm just reading messages today, I was offline for a couple days. I'm doing much better. My older son actually took a shower (!!) and joined us for some pizza Saturday night. It was so great to see Kevin as well. We love having his border collie Macy with us. Keeps me busy, and that's a good thing! Hope the packing for your big move is going well.

Thank you for your support, Chuck. You really understand what I'm going through. And again, I'm so sorry about your kitty. It's OK to be emotional about it, and it takes a long time to get over it. When I had to put our first dog down, I was alone and crying so hard I could barely make out the check for the vet. I cried all the way home. My hub had the same experience with our last collie that we had for 14 years. He tells me he still feels guilty about it. I tell him that Oliver relied on him as a caretaker, and part of that is making good decisions, even when those decisions hurt so much.

I Love TCM!!

Katy, I think of you often and hope the treatment side effects aren't too horrible. Sending you ((((Hugs and Positive Energy))))

9:01am EDT. Both the dogs are napping and I've been online since 7am. Lots to catch up on. Had a great visit with my younger son, and his border collie we're keeping for him is a real sweetheart. I only hope it doesn't rain--keeping 2 dogs and their feet clean is almost overwhelming! Actually, we're supposed to get some snow overnight. I usually love winter, but even for me it's been enough this year. I'm ready for spring. I plan to plant an herb garden. (I say this every year, but this time I REALLY MEAN IT!) Happy Monday everyone!

8:04AM Wow I never came back here last night! So yesterday I pretty much spent the evening at the playground. Ended up playing basketball and such. Was great exercise. When I got home, Randy already was in bed, he gets up at 1:30AM on Mondays for work. Amy and Aeverie visited for a bit. So I did not get as much reading done as I wanted to yesterday. Just had some farina and apple juice for breakfast gonna enjoy some coffee now and read!

Totally in a reading slump now. I only got about a million books to finish so, that's lovely. Not interested in much of anything right now. THE ABOMINABLE just goes on and on and on and on--and it's long.

I think I'm going to try to read something fresh everyday, I'll try small novels and novellas, and then just work on my CR whenever I finish up me book for the day.

Received a bunch of boxes of stuff today and for awhile had two of my cats sleeping in two of the boxes, but then Tiger's box tipped over and he felt all insulted and left, and Erasmus just became bored with the box and moved back to Dmitry's side of the bed. 9:38PM So today we went to the playground again and played basketball. Aeverie played with a little boy that showed up there so he had fun with that. I have been reading, Aeverie wore himself out and is sleeping now. So I should ne able to read plenty more this evening.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 12:00 PM. Hey, GR friends! Just finished getting cleaned up and ready for the day. We have been kind of taking it easy this morning. Or...we were until we saw our landlord parked in front of our house. We told him last night we are moving, but are going to pay April rent. So, he had a guy cleaning up leaves, working on re-doing the plumbing, and I think someone else out there doing something. Lots of noise that Is scaring the kitties. Mark is getting his haircut today, which be desperately needs, and I think we are going to just keep on packing stuff. Almost there. It's almost to the point where I can't pack anything else, so we are ahead of the game a bit. Anyways, happy Tuesday everyone!! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

12:17PM just finished a vlog. It is uploading now. I am gonna host my very first read along on book tube! The books of the read along are gonna be Dracula and then Incarnation. Pretty excited! YAY! So now I am gonna read more of The King of Plagues. I have been reading off and on this AM. I wanna finish this book by this evening or at least by tomorrow. I am over half way through it. We have an estimator coming to look at the damage to the roof, so we can get that fixed before all that spring rain starts. We only have a $100 deductible which is amazing, we thought it would have been way more than that. So yay!

Kathryn so happy that you guys have made such progress on your packing. It is always hard and frustrating, especially when you notice how much you have accumulated over the years. It seem pretty never ending sometimes. I have always hated packing ugh!

7:44PM Went to the playground again with Aves. I get a lot of exercise going there every night and the weather is nice enough now to do it. So that makes me happy. Good news on the roof, it is not the roof at all that is leaking, it is one of the roof vents. It is leaking through a crack in that so we just need some of that roofing tar to patch the cracks. So it is always nice to receive a bit of good news once in awhile!

Susan the roof is actually ok so that is good. My read along is gonna be just that a read along. Where I invite my viewers to read along with me. I also posted it for here as well. Then we will read incarnation after that. Glad you watched the vlog! :)

When that happened to me I would just hurry to class so I had time to work on it before class started. This worked as long as the class my homework was due in was at least the second one of the day. Good luck with that. Hope you figure it out.

Your nurse? Are you in hospital? I must've missed it, hope everything is okay??

10:07 p.m. EDT Liver biopsies both suck and blow. They did manage to sedate me, so at least I wasn't as awake as I was last week when they did my port, but I woke up screaming when they stuck that needle in... :-( Then I hurt for a few hours afterward until my pain meds kicked in (had to bring my own from home, of course... *sigh*). They wore off shortly after I arrived home, though. Still, they're kicking back in again. I had to arrive at 8:30 a.m. and ended up sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting... it was 11:30 or so before they took me downstairs, where I waited some more... The procedure itself didn't take too long, but I had to stay for 4 hours to be monitored in case I started bleeding. Came home to a lovely pile of boxes! Prezzies!! A plush Cthulhu, multi-colored disposable fountain pens, a nice lap desk which I am very much enjoying, and the complete series of Red Dwarf, so that was awesome! The Cthulhu even matches my blankets that I take with me to chemo, so he'll match... :-)

I think it's time to NetFlix it. I have been meaning to start watching Warehouse 13 and I saw some ads for it on SyFy today - looks awesome, must see...

message 10550: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC Oh, golly, that does sound bad, Katy. You think they could spare a couple pain pills, or even a pain shot. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about your dog, Susan. I hope it's nothing serious.

@ 11:24 PM

I'm in such a funk right now. I can't even tell ya. Never been in a rut this bad. I can't think of anything I feel like reading or listening to. I guess I'll have to turn to the TV for a while. Maybe just abandon my whole CR and go back to reading one at a time when something strikes me fancy cause I am seriously bumming. I mean, I'm in the grand canyon of ruts.
