Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 1:02 PM. Good afternoon, GR. I think today we are going work on packing up the house a bit more today. It is supposed to rain today, but we will see. I need to do my YT review of Night Film. I really enjoyed it, even more than I thought I would. I will be starting The Bone Collector today. I am really excited to read it, and another Deaver novel. Anyways, I hope you all have a great Saturday. :)

1:30 PM

Hoping to get some good reading done today. Haven't read very much at all lately. Maybe I can read at least 1 book today. Really enjoying THE CAINE MUTINY now, but I think I'm going to read THE BONE COLLECTOR today for Kathryn's Buddy Read.

Have a great weekend, Bookworm Buddies!

4:42PM Just had dinner and gonna work out in a few minutes. Been reading The Bone Collector today and really enjoying it. I knew I would since I loved the movie so much. Then I plan on watching the movie again after I am done with the book. I have not watched it for a long time so it will be nice.

5:55 p.m. I passed out at work last night and now find myself admitted to hospital with atrial fib and a kidney stone. Plan to read since Jeff and my daughter brought me my books.

Oh... was this the movie with Denzel Washington? If so, I vaguely recall it. Been a long time, though. It shouldn't matter that much.

GeneralTHC 5PM

Raining. Humid. Sticky. Kinda miserable right now. Think I'm just going to kick back and listen to the audiobook for THE BONE COLLECTOR. Downloading a Murakami audiobook: A Wild Sheep Chaseright now.

I remember when I first got into reading novels, I would read several books in a row from whatever author I was reading. I was hoping to read all of each author's books. Think I may go back to that approach, if I like this Murakami book.

I'm glad you're liking The Bone Collector Janie, I own the movie because I'm a die hard Denzel Washington fan, he's one of my favorite actors. If you like the movie you won't be disappointed with the book. Enjoy!

message 10311: by [deleted user] (new)

Cindy, I'm so sorry you're under the weather again. Kidney stones are the worst--for me they were more painful than childbirth. Hope you're getting some rest and some decent pain relief.

Oh my goodness, Cindy, have they told if you're going to need surgery for the stone?

message 10313: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not even concerned about yet another kidney stone Terri. It's the irregular heartbeat I'm worried about. Probably won't be online much till I go home. Have no patience for this galaxy other than reading off it.

Reading A bit off and on. Still cooking for an army of kids. Last night I BBQed 6 lbs of chicken and 6 lbs of progies. Eek.... I get a break tonight as the kids that have been camped out here over spring break are all going out tonight. Yay!

Chuck, I was so sorry to hear about your kitty. Your in my thoughts.

Cindy, I hope you get some good care, take it easy and get well soon.

7:27PM Had a good work out and read some more. Enjoying some coffee right now and will get back to the book. Almost took a walk after the rain because it was so gorgeous outside! But decided to read some more instead.

Cindy, it just seems like there is always something huh? I have to be careful when I work out, sometimes my heart gets worked up a bit too much and I have to be careful of that. A few years back I went in to the doc with a racing heart that just would not quit. I had an ECG done and everything was fine. My sis has the same problem except hers is a bit worse than mine. Take care and rest and hope you get to feeling better.

Chuck yea it is the one with Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. I love the movie and so far while reading this book I see they did a great adaption.

Cold and cloudy day, but supposed to warm up next week, can't wait.

Janie, Chuck, sorry about your kitties. Losing pets is very sad :(

9:02AM Wow it got chilly again. ARGH! Just want the warm weather to stay! Having some coffee right now and will dig into my book in a bit. Would love to finish it today we will see.

Angie the book jar is a jar where you put in all the books on your TBR, and then each month, or week, you pull one out and add it to your tbr for that month to read.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 2:38 PM. Just had a sandwich for a kind of late lunch. Good thing it will hold me over until dinner. Mark and I went to HPB and sold some books. I got $7.50 for them, and I was able to buy four books and even have change left over. Yay! I really want to read The Bone Collector, but I need to do a few things around the house like laundry, dishes, and the like. Maybe if I am diligent, I can get it all done and be able to read a bit before my dad gets here.

Susan, it has gotten chilly!! It's not too windy over here, but I'm staying inside where it's warm!

Terri, Mark and I watch PR together. And yes, we laugh, too! I am disappointed in Anya and Mondo because of their attitude towards the girl who got second place. I felt they were really rude and inappropriate. I was glad the judges told them why they voted the way they did. Their designers had poorly constructed garmets, so I'm not sure what they are talking about. I guess their own biases got in the way and blinded them.

7:43am EDT. Drinking my lovely coffee and catching up on GR. Haven't checked things since Sat. Feeling a little down yesterday so didn't do much. I hardly read at all so I'm behind on several challenges. I'm reading 5 books at once and that may be too many. Today I'm just going to read for pure pleasure and see where it takes me. Overcast and in the 30s. Dreading Charlie getting into the mud when it warms up to 40 later. Ahhh, the joys of pet ownership...

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:35 AM. Well, we went to bed way too late last night. I think Mark and I are getting to the age where staying up until 2:30 AM is no longer any fun. I did manage to get some reading in while he was watching Netflix movies. I'm not too sure what all we are going to do today, but I know I need to do laundry and dishes, but mainly, I just want to read. But, we'll see how my plans fare out, especially with The Boy home. (The Boy is Mark. LOL). He tends to make my plans change because he either gets bored, or wants to go do something outside of the house. haha! I'm sure we might end up packing something today at some point. Maybe he should start on his shop/garage? LOL! Happy Monday, everyone! :)

12:40PM I just realized I have not been on this thread today. So here I am. I have read a little bit today. My sis was calling me from the library in Indiana. LOL she was at the sales racks asking me what I needed or what I have been looking for. So she picked a few up for me. Will be having baked chicken tonight and some kind of pasta for dinner, maybe rice. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Ouch! Amazon's a bummer. The first thing I do when I get a book from Amazon is remove the DRM so I can back it up and read it on anything I choose.
