2:35pm Just had a late lunch after tagging our tree. My husband will go cut it down in a couple of weeks and bring it home. (We wait until after our daughter's birthday to decorate for Christmas.)
4:35 PM. Just finished a nice workout. About to get dinner going: Pork chops, au gratin potatoes, and salad. Going to throw a load of laundry in the washer, too. Can't wait to read more of IT. I'm getting so close to the end and I am looking very forward to finding out what happens. :)
6:32PM just had dinner the lil grandblessing fell asleep a moments quiet lol. Checking GR and maybe read in a little bit.
It's 7:20 PM and I got home from dinner(Steak and Shake) and the store. Going to talk with friends for a while and then read more of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner:D
It's 9:43 pm and I'm waving at Kyle (welcome to the group!) and getting ready to settle in for some reading.
It's 5:15am and the house is quiet, I got up early for some reading time. Had such an outstanding day yesterday! Drinking coffee and ready to climb into my book.
10:17AM got a late start here today, but I am here now. CHecking into GR with my friends. Drinking my coffee YUM! And gonna continue to struggle through roadwork! LOL
I understand your struggle Janie, I thought it was slow and kind of dull. It is 10:33AM and I'm just hanging out with my wife and little one watching cartoons. Big trip to the library after Conner's nap. We all are very excited.
(Chris you make me excited to go! Hope y'all have a great visit!) 4:23PM making dinner, gonna read whilst I eat then go toss the football around with the family! As we go in the 2nd week of the 4 before Christmas! heh
5:02 PM. Just finished working out. About to get cleaned up, and get some chicken for dinner tonight.
6:45pm, just finished dinner (pork chops and butternut squash). Relaxing on GR while hub watches news. Planning to go to bed early and read till I fall asleep.
We had a great time a the library, thanks Janie. My son got a bunch of cool books and I went the comic book rout this time and got some great graphic novels. It's 6:06 PM and I'm making dinner for my son, then bath for him and bed. Wife and I will eat later and get some reading done before bed.
7:06 PM. Waiting on dinner to be finished in about twenty minutes: baked lemon pepper chicken, saffron rice, and steamed peas. Going to read in the meantime. After dinner, I'm going to read and be on Goodreads. :)
10:05PM Its been a very frustrating evening with my daughter. She plays trumpet in the band. She can read the notes but not the beat. Hubby told her all he can and she sits defeated before she even tries. They are playing for chairs tomorrow, and she is sure she can't play the piece. *sigh* so it has been pretty miserable tonight. So I decided to jump on GR and take a short break from Kay. No one said it was easy.
Janie, I play trumpet (well I haven't play in years) but when I started in grade school I had to tap my foot in time with the music. It really helped me get the timing down and that made the beat flow smoother. Good luck to her, I remember the nerves when I had to audition for chairs. One day I just might get my trumpet back out and play again. It is 11:06PM and I'm going to bed. Good night all. Until tomorrow.
It's 6:13am and I'm drinking coffee and checking out GR while hub eats breakfast. Still unusually warm--all the windows are open and it feels great. Supposed to have rain later. A good day to read.
10:25AM I am a bit behind on this thread today. But so much to read here today hehe. So now I am checking in, and I have rad a few more pages in Roadwork.
Terri I am loving this weather too. We did have a cold front come through this AM though.
Chris how awesome that you played trumpet! When she knows the piece, she plays beautifully. Its the new pieces that she struggles with. She even spoke to her unstructor but per normal he blew her off. It's frustrating that he is the only instructor for band and he does not take a lot of time with the students. He is not that great. Unfortunately we are a small town and they focus more on sports than the arts. Kay was a little more upbeat this AM so we will see.

That's sad to hear Janie, I had only ok instructors in school but my Grandpa taught me how to play when I was five, so I was pretty established by the time it came around in grade school. Even in bigger towns is seems the focus in on sports, and even then not all sports. I hope she can find some confidence when learning new music, and that she stays with it. It's to bad you guys are so far away or I would offer to help tutor her. I'm waiting till my son is a little older and then he wants to learn trumpet too. It is 1:25PM and I'm at work just now checking in on GR. Long night ahead of me here.
6:33 PM. Just got cleaned up after my workout. Going to cook dinner, read IT while I cook, and then read tonight. :) I'm so close to the end!Hope you all are having a great evening. :)
6:51PM and checking out the GR family! Gonna finish this book up too.
Thanks for that Chris, means a lot. Hubby was in band when he was in school, but unfortunately he played the Oboe and can't even play a trumpet.
He gave her the run down on the notes and beats. She gets that but something just does not click putting them altogether. She kept her last chair spot btw but she is ok with it now. I told her it gives her more time to learn more. She has plenty of time to steal that chair out from under kyle!

That's great Janie, I'm glad she at least got to keep her spot and I know it can be tough to not get to steal first chair. I'm sure if she keeps with it she will soon enough. Tell your husband I'm impressed, the oboe is tough and I couldn't play it. Didn't even want to try. It's 7:22PM and just trying to pass the time till I get home. Listening to my audio book and web window shopping. Don't tell my boss. ;-)
8:55 PM. About to get back to reading IT. Mark bought me noise eliminating headphones so I can read while he watches t.v. in the same room. Will definitely help my concentration! Going to make some coffee, too. :)
Mmm coffee sounds good Kathryn. It's 7:00pm and I am going to pick up my book and do a little reading.
10:20PM Finishing up with my book. Waiting for Hubby to get home just finished so Chai tea, and 21 days till Christmas!
It's 11:05 pm and I'm in bed laughing at funny pictures from the Internet my husband keeps showing me
It's 8:03am and I'm doing laundry and drinking coffee. Had scrambled eggs and a bagel for breakfast. Puppy has 2 loose teeth and wants to chew on everything (including me)!
9:56 AM. Just finished eating cereal. Didn't sleep well last night, so I slept in a bit. Today, I am going to focus on finishing IT. :)Today is also my sweet Gizmo's 5th birthday! I love my furry love bug!
11:09am. Happy Birthday Gizmo! Today is my puppy Charlie's 5 month birthday! Debating whether or not I should make another pot of coffee.
3:04 PM. Filling up our fish tank with water. I forgot to do it the other day when I said I was going to. Been reading most of the day. Going to workout later. :) Gizmo says, "Thank you Terri!! Happy 5 month birthday to Charlie!" He is such a cutie!
5:25PM Just finished dinner, checking GR, then gonna do my workout, oh and psssst 20 days till christmas!
3:50 Having a coffee and checking GR when I should be folding the load of laundry that is beside me.

7:49PM Did my workout, watched a little TV with my Kay. And now back to GR checking it all out! (Glad you are enjoying your book Alondra)
8:54 PM. Watching a little t.v. before cracking open my book. Wishing I had a big brownie now because of Alondra. ;)
It's 5:05am and I'm drinking coffee (of course) and checking GR, signing up for yet more challenges! I have a hugely busy reading schedule, but I wouldn't have it any other way. (Our puppy just scared himself with his own fart! LOL, too funny!)
8:07AM Enjoying all the new posts here on GR and a cup o coffee. We are now 19 days away from Christmas. Isn't that awesome! Good Morning GR!
(LOL Terri dontcha love that)

8:15 AM. Can't believe I'm actually awake right now since I went to bed at 3:00 AM. Enjoying GR, too. :) Listening to a little music, thinking about breakfast and my next read. Janie-It's finally under 20!!! Woohoo! We still need to finish shopping. Hopefully this weekend we'll get it all done!
4:10PM Sitting here reading GR, listening to Kay play trumpet. Then soon I am gonna start on Neverending Story!
(IKR Kathryn! less than 20! WOOT! I am so excited. We have this funny thing we do here at home, well mostly I do here at home lol. At the end of Kay's Thanksgiving Break there were 4 weeks left till Christmas break. So I now always say that we are Day #/of what week/out of 4 weeks.
So now it would be we are Day #5(thursday) of the 2nd week out of 4. LOL I know I am crazy!)

4:36 PM. Just finished reading a few pages in The Neverending Story, vacuumed, did a load of dishes, and cleaned up the kitchen. Now, I'm going to workout for a bit. (Janie-That's a cute idea! I've been extra excited about Christmas this year, for some reason. I still need to get a few things, hopefully this weekend, and wrap everything. Have no clue what I'm getting from anyone, for once. haha)
5:05PM having dinner, checking GR, read a little bit. Soon to have workout! (For once Kathryn we did Christmas shopping early. Even have them all wrapped and ready to go!)
