Is there going to be lots of blood and gore in book 3 then?

message 407: by Tim (new) - added it

Tim | 8539 comments I don't know yet. But book 2 has a bit of a "how the hell is she going to get out of that" ending...

message 408: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments That's titles sorted for the next twelve books then Tim! 12 books in a series didn't do Terry Goodkind any harm.

message 409: by Tim (new) - added it

Tim | 8539 comments Well, the plot is plotted (!) and I've written chapter 1. Completely new character and location, but already the body count is ratcheting up. It's totes emosh, lol

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Hehe. I've put something on the morning thread to appall you , dear boy!

Tim | 8539 comments I'm not easily palled...

message 412: by Kath (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Good thing. Are you getting ready to be plauded when the book's released? My husband had a foreign student who felt that ever word that ended in an s sound must be plural. If there was only a little clapping he called it an applau.

Tim | 8539 comments Severe attack of the DBFs today (Distracted By Facebook) so must get back to the writing...

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments David! you can't forget the cranberry!
small bottle of Raki Tim?

message 418: by David (last edited Mar 26, 2013 12:43AM) (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Cranberry *shudders* Fruit and meat, no thank you.

Lemon chicken. No
Duck larry orange. NO
Raisins in curry. No
Apple with pork. No
Gammon with pinapple. No
Beef with grapes.... Yes, if they're made into alchohol first.

Edited to say: and either cooked with or drunk with said beef. I'll forgo dessert and have a measure of Tim's well-aged cognac :~)

message 419: by Tim (new) - added it

Tim | 8539 comments Alas, I confess I'm not much of a drinker - it would only sit in the cupboard along with the various malts, cognacs, rums and assorted exotica that have been there literally for decades. :(

message 420: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Cognac I can help you with, Tim. I only have the occasional one, but it's surprising how quickly that 75cl goes down. GL is partial to rum I hear.

message 425: by Jay-me (Janet) (new)

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Ignite wrote: "What's a hoover?"

I wondered that. Is it something that belongs locked in a cupboard with that thing called iron?

message 426: by Kath (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I think it's an American bloke in a frock. Or did I dream that?

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Ignite wrote: "I think it's an American bloke in a frock. Or did I dream that?"

definitely sounds dodgy then.

Mind you I hear that both you and Tim have been having strange dreams recently.

message 431: by Kath (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments So Tim, what did your writing group have to say?

message 432: by Tim (new) - added it

Tim | 8539 comments Overall they liked it, but I've got 9 pages of notes to work through, some of which are easy to fix, others less so. A few grammar issues, dangling modifiers, cliches etc, but a lot of it is to do with world building, continuity, voice etc

message 433: by Tim (new) - added it

Tim | 8539 comments *Rolls up sleeves*...

message 434: by David (new)

message 437: by Kath (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments "Heaven help the sailors on a night like this and never let your modifiers dangle."
Someone might actually have said that?

Tim | 8539 comments Better than having a hanging participle... or is it?

Some minor notes of course, but nothing major. Interesting thing was, with all the other things that were read out, there was a definite theme to the evening - blood and murder all round! Bwahahaha ecksetra.
