I read A Knight in Shining Armor and it is a traditional romance, although it would be good for time-travel category.

Completed: 0/12
Contemporary: Snowbound by Larissa Ione
Historical: It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas
Suspense: Predatory Game by Christine Feehan
Paranormal: Dark Peril by Christine Feehan
Sci-fi: Gabriel's Ghost by Linnea Sinclair
Fantasy: Guardian Of Honor by Robin D Owens

Vanessa wrote: "Also, I have a question about the love story category. Where can we find books like these. I know we can't read the ending to find out if they end up together."Any book by Nicholas Sparks will fit that category. The man doesn't know the meaning of HEA, LOL.
Nicole wrote: "I don't know if I know the difference between fantasy/paranormal/futuristic/time travel...and I don't know if I can find them all! They seem similar to me."I think there is a fair amount of cross-over, but the way I think of it -
*fantasy needs some sort of new world with magic, eg CL Wilson or Robin D Owens
*paranormal needs mythical/special powers, eg vampires or psychic
*futuristic - set in the future, eg JD Robb or some of the Sci-fi romances
*time-travel - travel back or forward in time, eg Karen M Moning's Highlander series
Check out what other people have put down if you aren't sure, and compare it to your selection.:)

Thanks I'll use it as a time travel one...I just remember it being discussed lots because she re-wrote the ending and it turned a lot of ppl off her writingVanessa wrote: "I read A Knight in Shining Armor and it is a traditional romance, although it would be good for time-travel category."
I'm pretty sure I'm in. I don't generally read inspirational romances but I have several that I've gotten free from Amazon on my Kindle, so this will give me an excuse to try one. And I've kind of been wanting to read Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. Ok, I've talked myself into this. :-) Seriously, these challenges are addictive. Now that I've discovered them I can't stop myself from joining them. :-P

Dee, I didn't hear about her changing the ending. Okay, now I'm not sure.
*Spoiler on A Knight in Shining Armor*: @DDee and Vanessa - I know she doesn't end up with the hero... but meets a decendent of his on a plane back to the US or somewhere. Hope I haven't ruined this for everyone!!

Fran wrote: "I'm in- I have a question- without giving away the ending, I have Dracula My Love: The Secret Journals of Mina Harker checked out from the library to read, and it's shelved the most ..."If it's not classified as a regular romance, but still tells of a major love story, then it will fall under category 12.
Found a free Christian/Inspirational romance for the Nook that is pretty short if anyone is interested- The Girl from Montana - I know free and short are important to me in this category :)@Yz, thanks- although I am still not sure if my book fits. How do we know if it's not classified as a regular romance?

Just need multi-cultural and fantasy! I'm not starting yet because I'm in the middle of The Help. Also classes started today :-/
Yz, Delicious Dee brought to my attention that Jacquelyn Frank's "Nightwalkers" series might work for IR/CR. Apparently, all of the heroes are named after biblical characters in the bible. They also utilize the bible when choosing their children's names & the bible also influences some of their decisions. Just putting it out there. You of course have the final say on if the series can be used for that category.See how hard I am trying to get out of reading a book about the wonderful power of God?
