Mojca | 1414 comments Big question...Can we list our start date as October 1? Or do we have to start counting our 6 months from, let's say, today?
Because, darn, I don't want to read another YA and I'm not really into book-with-kid-character right now.

message 52: by Judithe (new)

Judithe | 392 comments For "artist"...does it have to be the "picture" type of artist? Can a singer or glass artist work?

And "fashion"...how "into" fashion counts? I'm coming up with a blank there...maybe Georgiana Kincaid series would work? Any other helpful ideas?

Thanks!

The challenge officially started yesterday, so the earliest start date I'm accepting is Sept. 10, 2010.

Question 1: Yes, it has to be a 'graphic' artist (drawing, painting, cartoonist). It can also be a hobby of a character, say Phury in BDB books.

Question 2: Fashion? (Model, Fashion designer, fashion photographer, writer for a fashion magazine, etc). I guess you can also use a character who is really girly-girly, like really fashionable, say Queen Betsy, etc or if its a guy, pretty much a clotheshorse.

Hope that helps, Judithe.

I apologized, Angie, for not making the rules clear. I know I answered somebody in the earlier part about including a book she read before I announced the challenge, and I said she need to reread it, if she wants to use it.

As I say, the earliest start date for the challenge is the day the challenge was launched. After that, anybody can start anytime.

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 1888 comments Count me in. I'll probably start tomorrow and will post as I go.

Question: Would a seamstress be acceptable for #1? The book I'm thinking of reading is an HR, and at that time, the dressmaker usually was also the designer.
