Book: An Unsettled Range
Rating: ★★★★
Finished: 16/10/12
Review: I've been putting this one of for a while but and i'm not sure why now. I didn't think this would be as good as the first 2 as we the mc hadn't been mentioned in previous books. It was good that even though the mc's both had bad reactions/difficult choices when coming out but then got to see how the people on the ranch treat each other. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Book: Sin Undone
Rating: 3.5/5
Finished: 10/16/12
This is the 5th book in the Demonica series. The main character this time is the sister Sinead (Sin), and the dhampire (half vampire, half werewolf) Conall (Con). Sin does not trust anyone, including her new found brothers, and this story centers on her growth. There is also a second story of Luc and Kar (sorry, I don't have the book in front of me and I don't remeber their full names) who are both werewolves as well.
In this book, we start up with a plague that Sin accidentally started in the werewolf community, from the last story. Her brothers are trying to find a cause, while the various sections of the werewolf community are using it as a way to start a civil war.
I think this is the last in the series, but it had an ending that left it open to another type of series written around this same world that was created in the Demonica books.

Review
I waited too long to read this book from when I read the first book, so it took me awhile to remember some things about Jill.
Overall I liked the story, but some things felt off to me, such as Jill always talking to her self, and I felt it took awhile for the story to really grasp me.
I will be continuing on with the series and will not wait so long to jump into the next one.

I have a few days off of work and should be doing some house cleaning, but I would rather be reading instead.

Deidre it looks like there are 5 books in the series."
I'm hoping for my questions to be answered in this one because I refuse to believe they are brother and sister.

Book: Sins of the Demon

This book was as good as any she has written in the series, and I liked them all. But there is a reason this got two stars and I debated giving it one.
First, this is like 1/2 a book. No questions answered except (view spoiler) .
You could call this stand alone because you didn't have to read the others to be just as confused as someone who did. Not only were old questions not answered but she introduced a whole bunch more (view spoiler)
And second, the major adult book crime in my eyes, not only didn't it answer the main new questions (view spoiler) but it ended on a complete cliffhanger, where you don't know why she is there, who is there with her, and what is happening to her.
Although the writing was still good, I was very disappointed with the book. It was as though she wrote it in a hurry, hacked out the middle that explained anything and then cut off the end. Or insert the beginning of the next book that doesn't come out for six months.
Bah, humbug.

I just bought Magic to the Bone on Wednesday.

Deidre, at least

Book: Sins of the Demon
Deidre, at least [bookcover:Touch of the Demon|10331050 is out in just over 2 months. I couldn't believe the cliffhanger when I read it and then had to wait the full time between books. "
I looked it up after I wrote this, and realized it was out in Dec. So I will read it, but if it is the same way, I'll stick a fork in it...

Sabina is off to New Orleans to save someone and to murder someone.
She has her two sidekicks with, Adam and Giguhl otherwise known as Team Awesome.
Sabina does some growing in this book and is trying to learn how to bite her tongue and to take a minute and use her head. I really like how she trying to not do things solo and to give her partners some say in things. There were times when there were complete role reversals and that is a good thing.
I am looking forward to the next book to see the aftermath of Sabina's quest.

So don't be surprised if you see me reading other books in between bouts of this drivel :(

I am a glutton for punishment because I make myself finish sucky books either that or I am just plain stubborn lol.
Maybe by some miracle your book will get better.

I am firmly of the belief, if it isn't good, don't bother, which is why I need to go cull my currently reading shelf and decide to finish or DNF quite a few books. LOL.

Sophie Lawson is the only non magical or paranormal employee at the Underworld Detection Agency. Her best friend and roommate is a vampire, her boss is a werewolf. She knows everything there is to know about creatures of the Underworld and when several murders happen her expertise is needed to catch the killer.
This was a fun book. Sophie is not exactly a fearless kick-ass-heroine, more like energetic and clueless PN version of Stephanie Plum. Throw in some colorful PN characters and you get not your typical urban fantasy book but lighter cozy-mystery'ish read with PN elements and some action in the end.
I liked it and the heroine was a change from Kate and Cat.
One more thing - the cover is totally not in accordance with the heroine and the storyline :)

I hope you enjoy it, Sandra! It is a bit different but fun!

Feel free to switch your book Elishia.

I'll advise new book when I've decided :D

Feel free to switch your book Elishia."
I might have to but i'll post once i've actually got in to something.

I felt that way a few weeks ago. It's such bummer to look at all of the good books I thought I wanted to read, and not feel like reading anything, or even finish the books I was reading! Hopefully you'll find a good book to pull you through this.

Then I HAVE to read the Patrick Swayze biography to give back to my friend Friday night, or I'll be the worst in the world. Already had it too long.
Hope you get a chance to sleep more Jackie, cause I'm just off to bed ;D
