Hi! My name is Fabian, and the {Councillor} affix is the name I went by on Goodreads for the first few years before deciding that my real name would be more personal to use. Feel free to call me Fabian.
My friends on Goodreads are people I interact with (or at least try to). It's not always possible to keep up with everyone, so I'm not going to remove someone from my friend list if we haven't talked for a while, but I still think there should be a difference between a friend and a follower, so if you're sending a friend request to me, I'd appreciate knowing something about you, having a little interaction. Come say hello, I definitely won't bite. :)
I'm not quite as active anymore these days as I'd like to be, but I'll still always try to keep up with everyone from time to time—even though Goodreads becomes more and more painful to use with every new update to its interface. Unfortunately, the activity feed also shows only the same reviews by the same people over and over again, which means that I miss a lot of your reviews, and catching up is not always possible—but I'm trying my best!
To explain my shelves: "to read" means that I'm really looking forward to reading that book soon(ish). Everything else is categorized under different exclusive shelves because I love organizing my books and prioritizing between how interested I am in reading them. The shelf system is probably my favorite tool to use on Goodreads, as it helps me keeping track of what I have read and what I want to read under different criteria.
