Jenny Trout has a PNR that's very dark and gritty. I like it. :D I've also heard the Kate Daniels series is amazing, though I haven't read it myself yet.
does Book of Lost things count as paranormal? Wraeththlu has all the romance so you might not like it. it also has hermaphrodites with mystical genitals. I'll have to think
Blood Oath (Nathaniel Cade, #1) by Christopher Farnsworth and also Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan, it starts off slow and youngish but as the books go on it gets darker and mind blowing.
@Nenia:
I've also heard a lot about the Kate Daniels series, and a lot of polarizing opinions. Maybe I'll try this one day. Thanks for your ideas :)
@Spider the Doof Warrior:
I just checked "The Book of Lost Things" out (I haven't heard of it before) and think it might be an interesting read. As to Wraeththlu, I usually try to avoid books with characters or names I can't even pronounce. ^^ Thank you for your effort, though! :)
@Justyna:
Thank you as well! I've looked both up; they may definitely be interesting. :)
