I don't have an absolute favorite author. I probably should pick a science fiction author, since that's my favorite genre. I considered Asimov (robots!) and Poe (so talented)... but ultimately I choose (view spoiler)[ Mary Shelly, because she's awesome, and is often credited with birthing the "modern" sci-fi genre, just over 200 years ago (wow). Amazingly, she wrote Frankenstein around age 19 (published ~2 years later). (hide spoiler)]
