What am I missing about "Have His Carcase"? Harriet discovers the victim on Flatiron Rock, down near the beach ... where he has also been murdered!

Hello there TA [image error]
from wiki - A man is found on a rock with his throat cut in the middle of a footprint-free stretch of sand wet from the receding tide. The crime is so recent that the victim's blood has not yet clotted, yet the occupants of a fishing boat less than 100 yards (90 m) away swear they saw nobody approach the rock for hours. (Have His Carcase, a novel by Dorothy L. Sayers)
Yes, that's what I meant -- it's the opposite of "locked room" ... wide open spaces with nary a soul having gone near the body! :)
The open space is the 'locked room scenario'. No-one came or went and the area was under constant surveillancehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locked_room
I understand the analogy ... didn't know that according to Wiki, "locked room" need not necessarily have to mean "locked room" but could refer to some other set of impossible circumstances, too, though. Oh well -- you never stop learning, do you? :)
I get to go home now - you watch me skid to halt at the front of a sweating can of lager. It takes 45 mins if we catch the ferry over to the island straight away.:O)
