I don't know if this would qualify but... There is a small part in one chapter of Richard Ford's Children of Ashgaroth H/B in which the two main characters find a long deserted nuclear shelter left fully stocked from an ancient cataclysm. Only the author knows how they did it but the two of them feast on wine and canned food that must have been centuries old and only end up tipsy.
