I wasn't expecting a sword and sorcery series from Jim Butcher to be this good. I loved the quasi-Roman setting, and the characters were just as rich and interesting as the ones in the Dresden Files. I recommend the book, the series and hope he writes more. ...more

There is no original fantasy element here. Neither is there any mind-blowing world building. But it is extremely entertaining because of it's fast paced action. Scene after scene of exciting action. The plot was somewhat predictable for me. ...more
