Eileen Wilks' World of the Lupi series is one of those hidden gems of the urban fantasy genre. So many people have not heard of this fantastic little series and it's kind of sad that they haven't. If you enjoy urban fantasy and love your werewolves, dragons, and other paranormal creatures, this series should be on your to-read list right away. Don't start with this book - the first book is called Tempting Danger and this is a series that MUST be read in order.

This was very close to a 5 star read. If the pacing in the first half of the book had moved along just a bit faster, it would have been perfect.

Lily and Rule have come a long way since first meeting. Despite being forced together in the beginning, they've built a solid relationship built on respect, trust and love. Lily has truly accepted the mate bond and I loved seeing how it's become a natural part of their lives, being used to locate each other and reassure themselves about each ot ...more

Shelves: paranormal, magic, pb-also, kindle, fae, shifters, uf, bookgames

Once I got past the first 60 pages or so, this book became very interesting and hard to put down. The Human's First movement is growing and Ruben and Lily are being setup.

What I enjoyed:
* The characters, after 8 books its like visiting old friends
* Learning about Earth Elementals
* Seeing the depth of feeling Rule has for Lily
* Cullen
* Ruben's journey

What could have been better:
* The beginning dragged ...more
