I have to admit I had kind of mixed feelings about this one. Eleanor has crazy curly hair like me, although mine isn't red. She doesn't care what other people think about how she looks, but it's more out of necessity than because she's a rebel. Not to say she doesn't have a little rebel going on as well. She's kind of a hard character to describe, very complex. She's quiet and prefers to keep to herself; however, in her new school, her classmates just won't let her go to class in peace. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Still a teen romance, but there is something absorbing about this book. I read it fast because that's how I felt it needed to be read. I did like the characters, but I spent almost the whole book waiting for the other shoe to drop.

On the whole, it was a well written book and I can see why it is a best seller, but I probably won't read it again. ...more
