Have you ever read a book that you've liked, but you did not enjoy? I know that sounds strange, but this is that book for me. I feel like it was a good story that was written by a not so great author. Give the same story to someone else, and it could be a 5-star story. It's hard to have an objective review when I have first watched the movie, but I really liked that book. Rythm and tension are perfectly balanced, descriptions goes traight to the point, for characters and for situations and even if I knew where it went, I was hooked all along, sharing Malorie's anxiety and terror.

I really enjoyed this. I don't usually read horror/thriller (at least not since my teen years) but this was a good one, exploring interpersonal relationships in the face of an apocalypse. I have not seen the movie; likely won't, as the book is always better than the movie!
