Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
I guess it is probably considered a horror book. I asked my friend for a recommendation because I know she likes to read scary books
Did you enjoy the book?
It was ok. It was pretty slow and didn't really grab my attention.
Did you find it scary?
I found some parts to be disturbing but not necessarily scary. It didn't give me bad dreams like I was thinking it would when I read the synopsis.
What did you read this week? Bird Box
Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
It's an horror book, on the post-apocalyptic side.
Did you enjoy the book?
Yes, very much. It had a good atmosphere and interesting ideas, so it was compelling.
Did you find it scary?
Not at all, but it was creepy enough. I didn't want something really scary ;)

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
It's a horror book based on a true event.
Did you enjoy the book?
That's a tricky question, I enjoyed how good the book was and how scary it was but I also didn't really enjoy the story as it was pretty horrific and knowing the real story makes it kind of worse.
Did you find it scary?
Yes!

House of Leaves
Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
It's a horror book, although a very unusual one.
Did you enjoy the book?
This might actually be my new favourite book. It was so weird, unlike anything I've ever read and I'm glad I bought it so I can read it again (I almost never re-read).
Did you find it scary?
It was very creepy and unsettling. Thoroughly messed up.

I read two books for this week. Twilight Eyes by Dean Koontz and Nyctophobia by Christopher Fowler
Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
I am pretty sure they are both considered horror books.
Did you enjoy the book?
I really enjoyed them both. Twilight eyes wasn't scary, but it had its moments. Now Nyctophobia on the other had kept me scared and disturbed for a lot of the book. And I sure didn't see the ending coming!

"Horns" by Joe Hill
Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
I read a book that everyone has been writing about lately. Every review I've read stated that it was a good, scary book. I'm still counting it for my "Scary" category of the challenge.
Did you enjoy the book?
Yes, I enjoyed the book. I didn't think it was scary. It was a good, thrilling horror-type mystery, though.

Bram Stokers Dracula
Did you choose a horror book or a book you were scared to read?
I read a classic horror. I do not usually read horror so wished to read something that was not too bad.
Did you enjoy the book?
I enjoyed the first half of the book. Some of the dialogue was long. I ended up skimming around the end.

What did you read this week?
The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks
Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
It was listed as horror.
Did you enjoy the book?
I did - it was well written and dark which I like.
Did you find it scary?
I found it more creepy and unsettling than scary.

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read? A horror book.
Did you enjoy the book? Yes.
Did you find it scary? I found it more creepy than scary, but still a good book.

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read? A book I was scared to read.
Did you enjoy the book? I enjoyed the first part, the later part was pretty typical teen/children book fare (though I feel as though some teens and children would be offended by the condescension).
Did you find it scary? The first part was a bit creepy, but not really. Not at all scary in the end. I was a bit disappointed by that actually.

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read? I chose this book because it scared me when I read it many years ago and I wanted to see if it would scare me again.
Did you enjoy the book? Yes.
Did you find it scary? Yes, very much so.

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read? Neither, really - but the unnerving feeling that this could genuinely happen was absolutely terrifying.
Did you enjoy the book? Very much.
Did you find it scary? Yes, terrifying.

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read? A chose a book that reviews said was scary.
Did you enjoy the book? It was ok. Not a waste of time, but I didn't love it.
Did you find it scary? Yes, it got spookier the closer it got to the end.

The Historian
Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?
I chose a book I was scared to read. This book was originally given to me years ago and it's super intimidating. Not only is it 642 pages, this book is taller than your average hardcover, meaning the pages are bigger, meaning there's more words, meaning this book is massive. Having just recently come out of an 800 and some page book I'm not sure if I'm ready to jump headfirst into this but we're going to give it a try.
Did you enjoy the book?
I'll let you know when I finish ;)
Did you find it scary?
As of right now, it's not. I'll update this when I get closer to the end though.

Did you choose an horror book or a book you were scared to read?First I chose a book that I was scared to read because it was too long (IT by Stephen King), but it IS TOO LONG, so I changed to a regular short horror book.
Did you enjoy the book? Yes, I did! :)
Did you find it scary? Just some parts, maybe if I hadn't seen the movie, it probably would have been scarier.
