89768 What about:

THE AGREEMENT : Love Was Never Part of It

Or does that make it sound as if love doesn't happen? If you read the blurb you will know they do go beyond the agreement ...

89768 I use FSOG as my guideline for what is now possible. Ana had just graduated and got a job. FSOG is not NA despite the age of the heroine. It's more than that which is used to place a novel. The content and tone and level of explicitness is what really categorizes a book as YA or NA or Adult or erotica. The Agreement is def Adult Contemp Romance when it comes down to explicitness and tone. It goes beyond NA in that way. The good thing about Amazon eBooks is that we only get two category tags so I will go with adult contemporary romance when I tag it. I know that sounds like three categories but contemporary romance is considered one tag.

As to Kate's age, I want her a grad student. It's what I know as I spend a lot of my twenties in grad school (6 years!) and they say you should write what you know...

89768 Here's another go:

I think this is it -- I checked other CRs and there were no subtitles except for "A Novel" or bestseller info or "Book 1 of the Darkfire Trilogy"...

A letter to my sub.

You trust me completely to know what you need.

And I do know what you need. I know what to whisper in your ear to make you need me even more. I know how to touch, where to touch, when to touch.

I know you.

You can relax completely with me. You can feel everything possible with me. You can respond with total abandon with me.

That is what I most desire.

So begins an enticing letter from an anonymous Dominant to his new submissive.

While graduate student Kate McDermott waits in a Manhattan cafe to meet the Dom who will help with her research on BDSM, she reads the letter again, telling herself her interest is strictly academic. If she's honest, Kate must admit it's more than that – it's a deeper need she can't deny.

When Drake Morgan, MD, neurosurgeon, bass player, philanthropist walks through the cafe door to talk to her about the lifestyle, Kate is mortified. The son of her father's oldest and best friend, Drake is far too desirable and too much a part of her social circle for comfort. If she decides to go through with this, can the carefully-worded agreement she draws up restrain their undeniable desire for each other?

Unable to resist his determined seduction, Kate begins an intense relationship with Drake that pushes all of her, and Drake's, boundaries. Highly erotic, The Agreement is a love story that will stay with you long after you finish reading.

89768 Is "Can love be restrained?" too cheesy? I could have nothing there...

Which title do you prefer -- one line or separate lines?

I agree as long as you don't think I will get attacked for not including a warning... I'd rather have the blurb contain info that lets a reader know what's in the book than include a warning. For some, it wouldn't be a warning but an enticement!

Just that she is a grad student who works at Geist - there is a journalist -exposee plot by Cerise and I don't want TA to be too close to that. Kate isn't out to do an exposee but to understand and explore.

No, she is back to being a student the way I had her at the start. She still works for Geist but it's a student newspaper. I didn't want her to be too similar to other heroines and stories out there.
