THE AGREEMENT : Love Was Never Part of It
Or does that make it sound as if love doesn't happen? If you read the blurb you will know they do go beyond the agreement ...

As to Kate's age, I want her a grad student. It's what I know as I spend a lot of my twenties in grad school (6 years!) and they say you should write what you know...

I think this is it -- I checked other CRs and there were no subtitles except for "A Novel" or bestseller info or "Book 1 of the Darkfire Trilogy"...

A letter to my sub.
You trust me completely to know what you need.
And I do know what you need. I know what to whisper in your ear to make you need me even more. I know how to touch, where to touch, when to touch.
I know you.
You can relax completely with me. You can feel everything possible with me. You can respond with total abandon with me.
That is what I most desire.
So begins an enticing letter from an anonymous Dominant to his new submissive.
While graduate student Kate McDermott waits in a Manhattan cafe to meet the Dom who will help with her research on BDSM, she reads the letter again, telling herself her interest is strictly academic. If she's honest, Kate must admit it's more than that – it's a deeper need she can't deny.
When Drake Morgan, MD, neurosurgeon, bass player, philanthropist walks through the cafe door to talk to her about the lifestyle, Kate is mortified. The son of her father's oldest and best friend, Drake is far too desirable and too much a part of her social circle for comfort. If she decides to go through with this, can the carefully-worded agreement she draws up restrain their undeniable desire for each other?
Unable to resist his determined seduction, Kate begins an intense relationship with Drake that pushes all of her, and Drake's, boundaries. Highly erotic, The Agreement is a love story that will stay with you long after you finish reading.

Which title do you prefer -- one line or separate lines?

Yeah the word BDSM should give it away. ;)

Smooches and hugs for all my first and beta readers!

I think this is the best blurb yet, but I had one other thought - what if you left out the "D/s" and just called it an "intense relationship". Leaves a bit to t..."
I agree as long as you don't think I will get attacked for not including a warning... I'd rather have the blurb contain info that lets a reader know what's in the book than include a warning. For some, it wouldn't be a warning but an enticement!

All I can afford to give at this point in my so-called career is two huge smooch..."
3 extra hugs!

Oh good. Don't want her fans attacking me for copying! Very aware of the power of fans and readers now...

All I can afford to give at this point in my so-called career is two huge smoochies instead of one! ♥♥♥

Just that she is a grad student who works at Geist - there is a journalist -exposee plot by Cerise and I don't want TA to be too close to that. Kate isn't out to do an exposee but to understand and explore.

No, she is back to being a student the way I had her at the start. She still works for Geist but it's a student newspaper. I didn't want her to be too similar to other heroines and stories out there.

Getting my heroines mixed up... Not enough caffeine yet LOL!
