89768 The Commitment is being released within the next 12 hours!

The Blurb:

Despite the carefully-worded agreement meant to keep their relationship strictly professional while Kate explored BDSM for an article in her college's newspaper, Drake and Kate broke their own rules and fell in love.

Now, in the weeks before they leave for Africa, Drake takes Kate more deeply into the D/s lifestyle. In the process, the walls between them continue to crumble as they explore each other physically and emotionally and they fall even more deeply in love. But before they can even leave Manhattan, the past returns unexpectedly to challenge their blossoming relationship.

Is Kate and Drake's commitment to each other strong enough to stand the test?

By the Amazon Bestselling Romance author S. E. Lund, The Commitment is the much-anticipated sequel to The Agreement, Book 1 of the Unrestrained Series.

What readers are saying about The Agreement:

"…truly a beautiful book full of lots of romance, mystery, excitement, suspense and love. A beautiful love story."

"Wow what a great read. Oh my Dr. Drake is such a gentle Dom. This was one I had a hard time putting down. Absolutely loved all the characters. This is a MUST read, you won't be disappointed."

"I was so wrapped up in the story that I read through the night and didn't realize it until I noticed the sun coming up! Excellent book! Definitely on my keeper shelf for re-reading!"

"5 stars. Team Drake. Loved the story of Kate and Drake. Wonderful happy happy ending. Definitely a recommendation to all to read."

"From the beginning it's an emotional and intense trip but at the same time also sexy and romantic. There are twists and turns that you won't see coming that make it an even more intriguing story."

"I loved everything about this book. It had more then what I expected. It was hot, sad and humbling. Drake's character was amazing. I want me some. I could feel his passion for her through and through. And hers was so intriguing. Her relationship with her dad was so amazing. Loved it! Loved it! I would definitely recommend this read to my friends."

89768 OK So I have sent off a few copies to first readers -- if I haven't sent one to you and you offered to be a beta reader, it's only because my eyes are crossing from fatigue after reading and editing solid for two days! Please email me asap and I will send you a copy when I get your email.

Thanks a million!

89768 OK Beta readers / first readers! I'm sending The Commitment out tomorrow night after I've finished my final read through. I have to admit I have NO objectivity. I can barely stand to read it, I've read it so many times during the writing and editing process so I can't say anything except I'm glad it's finished! Please be honest with your feedback, keeping in mind that I will gladly consider your comments and suggestions on how to improve it. The following questions are of specific interest to me, so if you can answer most or all of them, I will be in your debt!

1) How did the first page, chapter, half work? Would you keep reading?

2) Was there a point where you felt bored or started to skim?

3) Was there a point where you stopped reading and thought "FUCK YOU AUTHOR!"?

4) If you finished, what did you think of the end? Were you happy? Did you feel satisfied?

5) Would you like to read a third book?

6) What did you think of the developments? There were two big events and each person's response to it.

7) Can you identify the theme or themes in the novel?

8) What rating would you give it as it is?

9) What would you change?

I will send the novel out to everyone who wants to offer honest feedback. Please message me and let me know what format you want -- I can send it in a PDF, Mobi (Kindle) or ePub (KOBO). If you haven't received a copy and you think you should by tomorrow (Sunday July 28th) by Midnight MT, please email me and I will send it to you Monday.

Thanks again for volunteering!

TY! It's a rather low-key promo. I've tweeted and FB'd it but haven't done much else. Every 90 days or so I like to run a promo just to get a bit more exposure for the series so thanks for any help! :)

89768 I'm going to edit the novel to take out a few typos both my editor and I have found during recent re-reads so I'll let you know when I post the new cover! Won't maybe be for a few days.

Thanks in advance!

89768 So, thanks for everyone's input -- I have decided on the following:

The Agreement:

The Commitment:

I like the first cover because I see Drake's blue eyes and it seems as if we've caught them in a private moment. The second cover is just hot with Drake's shirt off and the tie... Plus Kate wears a lace dress, which she does in the novel. So I am happy with the new covers.

I can't please everyone, and I know these aren't everyone's choice but thanks so much for offering your opinions and your input!

I'm going to change the cover for The Agreement tonight when sales are lowest, and will need help to promote it to get it back in the ranks. When the book is being revised for any reason, it drops out of the search function at Amazon and drops off the map. I will need people to post about the new cover and help promote it. So any help on that regard would be much appreciated! I'll post at my Facebook page, on twitter and here.

If you could post about the new cover and the book on any groups you belong to, or on twitter or facebook, I would be forever in your debt!

"

Yeah I've seen another cover with the same characters. That's OK -- my covers look different enough from this to compete. Two of the best selling contemp romance novels have very similar covers so... I think what's more important is whether the cover looks professional and draws the reader's attention.

89768 So... ignoring the current titles, which are mixed up

The Agreement:

Or:

I like all three! I can't choose between those first two for the new cover for The Agreement -- which one would draw you in first?

and The Commitment?

I like the softer font better than the stone font...

What do other people think?

The only other option is this but I'd have to have my graphic artist change the font to the one I like. And this would be more appropriate to the Commitment since it's more risque but at the same time it feels rather aggressive with him staring out at the viewer. Katya seemed to like that pic though! Said it would get her attention!

89768 My thoughts:

I realize that this loses all the symbolism in the old cover art, but really, readers read Romance for romance, right? I like that the same couple is shown in both. I'm not so sure I like the woman's hair in the second pic -- it looks really shellacked but I like the look on "Drake's" face. I am not so sure about "Drake" looking out at the reader in the first pic, but it does have a certain clandestine feel to it as if he's been caught in the act, which is the whole issue in the first book. What if his eye wasn't so clear, as if it were more in shadow? Or is his very blue eye important to keep for the reader to see? Drake has amazing blue blue eyes.

Other than that, I like the covers. They feel more romance novelly. I like the font face for my author name and the title, subtitle.

Yeah. he's not my muse but he could be a really hot neurosurgeon bass player philanthropist Dominant...
