Oh, so sorry to hear that! How scary for you both. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best.
Yes, the sequel may be delayed a bit -- until the end of July instead of my birthday. But it will come! I've been good for several days and have got my word count in.
Art before housework is my mantra!

TY!

I have two sons but the older one is not the least bit interested in leaving our city and will prolly stay with his dad, which is sad. He is model-handsome and people have said he should be a male model. I actually suggested it to him, but he looked at me like I had two heads.
My other son, the Aspie? I don't think he could stand to stay here for a moment longer. He is a wild dreamer and wants to move to either London, England, California, New York City or Toronto for the music scene and be a composer for films or just a musician. I expect Toronto is where we will end up though, given reality...
The writing is actually fulfilling. I wanted to be a novelist way back when, but was distracted by a number of things (science, politics, a man, mommyhood, wage slavery) and so it's not really therapeutic.
Maybe the divorce is. ;)

My positive thoughts are with you **hugs** "
TY! This happened last year but I kept mum until all the drama died down. Now, we're in a good place -- as good as a separation and divorce can be. We've known each other too long and been through so much together to be petty about things. Hindsight says this was a while in the making. Just your mind and heart finally catch up with each other.
I'm fine. :)

*smooch* ;)

It's both sad and liberating. 20 years together is a long time and so it's sad that it has come to an end, but it's all a life lesson, filed away under experience ripe for mining as a writer. But liberating also! The future is wide open. I'm at a happy stage in my life and finally doing what I wanted when I was a kid -- writing novels! Sales of The Agreement have surpassed my expectations. Plus, my son and I are planning a move for next year... Exciting!
But this thread (lest my co-moderator comes to slap my hand for talking about personal stuff) is about the sequel! I'm having fun writing it. On Chapter 4 now and there are challenges facing Drake and Kate before they've even left Manhattan for Africa. I'm so pleased with the response to my story and characters and look forward to following them as they face the joys and challenges of a new relationship.
Now if only I could find my own Drake, albeit a decade older with a bit more grey hair... :)

I'm holding a promo for Dominion Saturday and Sunday -- it's free so tell all your friends who haven't read it that the revised version is now available. The sale starts at midnight PST and runs until midnight PST Sunday, May 5th.
If you feel like spreading the news on Twitter, use hashtag #FreeKindleBook . I will be posting on Facebook as well as including a teaser from Dominion so if you would like or share that would be great!
Thanks again for any help you can give in spreading the word.

What about when they are in the Bahamas and he pushes her down on the table and ravishes her?

Although, I do think that the book is fantastic as a standalone, a sequel would definitely be welcome!..."
There are at least three people mentioned in Book 1 who will make an appearance in book 2. Exes. Long-lost mothers. And a new person or two. Another Dom. Another sub. There will be challenges re: submission and sex. There will be relationship challenges. There will be personal and career challenges.
That's more than enough!
I think a trilogy feels right somehow. Thesis. Antithesis. Synthesis. Each one will be stand-alone. No cliffhangers!

May - Whatever reads
TY in advance!

TY so much! You guys are my "street crew" did you know? ;) *huge smoochies*

You poor soul! Three editing reads and not one solitary pure read it for its own sake! As the writer, I never get that kind of read either...
Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Release date won't be until August!
I've had a number of readers write me about a possible sequel to The Agreement and given the response so far to the book -- far better than to the Dominion Series -- I may just write the sequel to The Agreement first before writing Book 4.
It would be a self-contained novel following Drake and Kate to Africa and then back to Manhattan. Every couple, and every relationship, faces challenges and Drake and Kate are no exception. Old ghosts come back to haunt both Drake and Kate, testing the depth of their commitment to each other. New people enter their lives and both Drake and Kate are forced to question their relationship. Will their fledgling romance and D/s relationship withstand these tests?
Provisional Release Date -- July 4th 2013.
Gotta get crackin'! Writing schedule starts April 13th! First draft due June 1st to those who want to be first readers! Sign up now!

TY! I read your review on GR and thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed!:)

TY! Thanks to everyone who helped me with beta reading! *huge hugs*

Chapter One of My Yet-To-Be-Named CRS Novel.
Yes, the hero has dark hair and blue blue eyes. He's Seth Ivanov, about 37 and a veteran. She's Mia Tate, the sister of Seth's former buddy in the Marines, Everett Tate, who has recently disappeared. Before he did, he sent her a letter telling her that if anything happened to him, the only person she could trust was Seth and that she could find him. He'd know what to do. As they search for her brother and the truth about Seth's injuries, they fall in love.
