I could be wrong, but I don't think this is what they meant by someone having a secret family... what are..."
to me it sounds like more along the line of that someone was cheating and has a whole other family somewhere else. But I think this is something we might take over to the captains chat

Once we finish all tasks we can claim task 45. "read a book someone on a CRIMINAL team has read since UNO began". So have a look through those teams UNO shelves, maybe someone finds a book they have at home or wanted to read for a while :) but this task really only becomes important once we are close to finishing all the other tasks, so no hurry!
Also make sure, only books finished from March 15 onward count, so check out the countdown in my previous post!

March is where your team will take on the role of Detective or Criminal and either solve a crime, or try to get away with one!
This is an optional mini challenge for our UNO players.
◈ Books with a read date between March 15 - March 31 count. (countdown to the start of the mini challenge is here)
◈ Books can be started at any point since the start of the UNO challenge (Feb 1)
◈ As a team, you will have a mixture of tasks to complete. These include spell-it-outs, cover items, words in text, and words in title. All of the tasks you need to complete are on your team spreadsheet
☞☞ If your team has been allocated to the DETECTIVE group:
In order to solve the crime you will need to complete all of your tasks AND read a book that someone on a CRIMINAL team has read during UNO. Once that is done, you have caught the criminal and will be given 30 bonus points
☞☞ If you team has been allocated to the CRIMINAL group:
In order to get away with the perfect crime you will need to complete all of your tasks AND read a book that someone on a DETECTIVE team has read during UNO. Once that is done, you are free and will be given 30 bonus points
◈ Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your UNO hands
◈ The usual book length rules apply
◈ Team spreadsheets will be updated with a mini challenge tab so that you can track your books and claim your points
Spell-it-out rules
For this mini-challenge, you are using the same rules that apply for UNO. So a letter needs to be the first letter in the book title, author first name or surname, character name or nickname, or setting. Articles (a/an/the) can be ignored in the book titles. For this spell-it-out, you can also use the first letter in the series name.

Does this audiobook cover look green enough? Authors last name is Hoffman, so I could listen for 3 Green, if y’all think so."
To me there's so much going on, the green doesn't seem to dominate. I personally don't think this will work, but what are the others thinking?

Os - 9
Hs - 8
Is - 8
Ns - 9
Thankfully we only got 4 Reserve - one is already covered and I'm currently reading a Reverse card.
Coloured cards not being claimed yet (as far as I've seen):
3 Green
2 Green
6(!) Wild Draw 4 - which is quit a lot, so have a lookout for coloured books. And remember, we can only duplicate each coloured card ONCE!
There's only 7 more books to read than last month, I think we've got this :)

I'll go over our spreadsheet now, I ask everyone to double check if you have all your books shelved in your UNO shelf. But I think everything should be in order :)
We can also officially read for March now! Here's to another great reading month!

So we think:
- Who killed Faustus Dutton? - Donna
- How was it done? - injected the poison
- What was it about the killer that gave him or her away? - idk

Would be great to have a first proper guess until tonight, I'll be done with my book by then

By Thursday we have to send our guess for the mystery to get the points (if we finish the mini challenge by then).
I'll be done with my book by tomorrow for sure, only got around 30% left

FROM THE FORENSICS REPORT
The fact that the victim was apparently unable to rise from
bed to summon help indicates that a large dose of the toxin was
administered. However, the body was too decomposed to
determine into which part of the body the injection was delivered

Otherwise I'd suggest reading a book you wouldn't use for the challenge e.g. a really long one :)
