801397 I have ordered Needful Things :). I also finally ordered a new copy of IT. A large Paperback because I have a mass market and I read it once and pages have fallen out. Lesson learned, large books do not make good mass market's. And I want to re-read IT at some point so hopefully I can not destroy the new copy.

801397 Damn Lena you tore through that series! I haven't even started the first book yet! I do plan on reading it this month I just haven't gotten to it yet. Glad you enjoyed the series!

801397 I thought that was basically the synopsis of Cujo. Dog goes nuts.

Alright, I think I will join in next month :). Looks like this year is going to include several big books! Gotta conquer those tomes ^_^

801397 I'm more of a cat person but I do have a dog and love him just as much <3

801397 Ah, that's good. I would like to read Cujo one day though though it isn't high up on my priority list of King books to get to.

I'm just dying to read The Shining and Salem's Lot and can't seem to find the time to devote to them. I have got to read those this year.

I've also heard his best work was when he was high lol. I mean i'm all for a clean healthy King but sometimes one can write high what one is too afraid to write sober.

And looking through reviews I come across this "Whole sections of this book make no sense unless you've read The Dark Half."

I have not read The Dark Half. I knew it may tie into/spoil some things in other books that came before it but I didn't think it was required to read something else first just to understand it?

801397 I've been told that Cujo the movie and book have different endings, either way I haven't seen it either.

I'll have to get it and see how I feel about starting it. It's not like i've read Stephen King books in complete order as it is.

801397 Actually i'll be having a few books going at the same time so I might wait to finish one of them first and then start this, but I will be reading it! I'm both scared and excited lol.

Addy- Glad it's off to a great start! Hope you enjoy it!

Lol Montzalee, hope you enjoy it too! And anyone else that joins in :)

801397 I'll hopefully start it soon. I am terrified of spiders but...I like being scared by media for some reason so....this will probably do the trick. Though I might scream even more every time I see a spider after this. My poor husband.

It's ok! If I do decide to read it I have a decent shot of forgetting anything that might spoil another book lol, my memory isn't the best. But it's usually the stuff I don't want to remember that I remember. Meh. I'll probaby just skip it.

Maybe i'll just read Age of Anansi anyway, and if anyone wants to join could do a buddy read of it.

801397 I'm not sure if I should skip this one or not. I haven't read so many of his books that came before and I know they sometimes spoil books that he wrote before. I heard this one spoils the ending of Cujo which I haven't read. I haven't read Salem's lot, The Shining and I don't know what else came before Needful Things.

I know it won't be confusing, I believe it's a standalone, but with all his books being in the same universe and sometimes spoiling those that came before..

Of course that could just be the fact that I want to read a couple books by him this year and I have The Shining and Salem's Lot, which came before this one, and I don't yet have Needful Things.

Though I only heard it spoils Cujo and I think Dark Tower? (haven't read Dark Tower either, like most of his books, i'm just getting started on Stephen King. I've read IT, Carrie and Pet Sematary, that I can remember. I did read Black house and Bag of Bones as a young teen but remember nothing about them)

My long winded way of saying I don't know if i'll be joining in for April or not.

801397 Needful Things by Stephen King has won April's group read for Tricksters! This is the thread to discuss Needful Things in April.

801397 Welcome Elizabeth! Glad you having fun with the Sookie Stackhouse series :)

I wasn't sure initially but I don't really mind either way and Latasha added the Witches folder recently so yes, they count! :)

So many wonderful creatures out there, why not count as many things as possible? ^_^

I was into The Walking Dead for awhile but stopped watching in season 8 as I lost interest.

I've been wanting to check out The Exorcist and Penny Dreadful!

Lol, so true..on the bright side one will never run out of books to read.

801397 I did finish Incubus Caged and really enjoyed it. Gave it 4 stars and as it's the first book in a series, I have more books to read now.
801397 What shows with creatures in them do you enjoy?

I love Buffy the vampire slayer! I already liked vampires and I think Buffy solidified my love of them, not to mention the girl power. Willow was always my favorite and very relate-able to me.

I also love Supernatural. The Winchester boys have my heart. Sam, Dean, Cas, Jack. And there are plenty of creatures on Supernatural!

iZombie has become a favorite of mine too. I have loved seeing it tackle some issues last season and can't wait to see where season 5 goes though I know i'll be sad when it ends. They've already said season 5 will be the last but that it will wrap up the way they want it to, so I have hope it'll wrap up well, but i'll still miss it and the characters. The Zombies aren't typical zombies, but they are still zombies, sort of.

Stranger Things...I assume a demo-gorgon would count as a creature. I might have to re-watch the first 2 seasons before season 3 comes out.

Siren is a fairly new show (in it's 2nd season) on Freeform and Hulu. In a nutshell: Queer Polyamory and killer mermaids! Seriously, while I haven't watched the episode that aired tonight yet (should be on hulu soon) the last episode made a polyamory couple canon and it's pure love and awesome-ness! Something my bisexual heart has been waiting so long to see!!

And I know that's not the point here but I want to shout about this show everywhere right now lol! And the mermaids are damn awesome too! Good characters, plot, action, diverse as well, slowly building up a swoon-worthy polyam triad that isn't forced that includes a mermaid. Visually stunning with the mermaids and them going from mermaid to human and how that all works in it. Humans messing with the ocean, military involvement, secrets and I just love it so much <3!

What tv shows that involve some creature(s) do you enjoy?
