My kitty seems back to his old self. He wasn't moving if he didn't have to before and wasn't purring but now he's going all over the place, active and purring up a storm. He has a slight limp still but that'll probably be gone in a couple days.

I know that's off topic but I thought a happy kitty update is always a good thing :)

I finished it! It definitely has some things up it's sleeve and I can't wait to continue with the series and to see where it goes! I love the characters (heck even Walsh has grown on me and I wanted to slap him in the beginning of the book), the plot, Jane's character development. Some interesting tidbits here and there. I ended up giving it 5 stars, my first 5 star read of the year! :D

I'm at 71% so far and more about the alien comes to light. The alien is...aggravating, which doesn't exactly answer if he's to be trusted or not but I don't want to spoil things. The plot definitely has some tricks up it's sleeve!

So am I! It was an accident falling from the top of the back of my husband's gaming chair. The cats claws made it into his back and reflexs pushed the cat off of him and he, the cat, landed wrong. At first we thought he broke his leg. Thankfully nothing is broken but he sprained some muscle in the crotch area, it's swollen. Poor kitty.

It could've been worse though and at first we thought it was, but thankfully he'll be ok. He's just been relaxing while it heals and we got all his stuff in one area (food, water, litter box) so he quick access to everything and he's been in his little cat bed.

My cat got hurt yesterday and yesterday was hectic (he'll be ok, seems he just sprained a muscle so he's been relaxing) so I didn't get any reading done yesterday but I have been enjoying it and hope to get some serious reading done tonight! :)

49% 12 chapters down, and all I have to say now is Fuck! Shit just got serious.

Science, interesting world building, serious danger.

I'm at 39%, have read 9 chapters so far. It's a lot more romance and less science that I expected. I'm finding it hilarious and enjoying it though, it's just totally different from what I was expecting and to anyone expecting hard sci-fi, I don't think you're getting it here, sorry.

I've read 2 of the author's short stories, Grove and Symbiont Seeking Symbiont and really enjoyed them. I didn't realize though that this is an older book by her and I think it shows. I'm enjoying this anyway though and i'm finding it hilarious! And i'm definitely interested in where this is going.

I have read 6 chapters.

Finding it easy to read, I like the characters so far (especially Jane), it has action, (view spoiler)[slimy purple space slugs the size of small ponies that can burn you and a dangerous gas leak (hide spoiler)]. I am liking it. And I need to know what happens!

I like sci fi horror the best too but i've been finding I enjoy sci fi more than I thought I would. Aliens and UFOs fascinate me. Planets, space, I have so many nonfiction books that I want to get on the subjects.

I've read (and enjoyed) Subhuman, probably need to re-read it though before reading Forsaken. I actually read Subhuman as an e-arc from netgalley, should probably get a finished copy before re-reading it.

I haven't read any of his other stuff yet. Sounds like I need to do that.

I've decided, i'll read Incubus Caged by A.H. Lee. I'll also probably read the short stories Succubus: The Witch's Assistant, The Offer and The Lonely Succubus because I feel like going above and beyond lol.

I'll be starting The Raven Boys today for a buddy read but then when I finish that i'll go into this one! :) So my guess is just in a few days or so.

Well THAT was terrifying! That ending, and that epilogue O_O

Great way to start off the year! I gave it 4 stars. Now...how to sleep after that?
