Just saw an ad for a serialised adaptation of A Gentleman in Moscow coming to Paramount+ next week. Starring…. Ewan McGregor!! Pretty excited for this.

The website issues really aren’t a good look for them, but finally I managed to book a couple of events. I’m also going to Ann Patchett (the one with Meg Mason, not the panel) and Shankari Chandran. The festival is a shadow of its former self, so that’s it for me this time.

I’m always a sucker for a bit of crossover, so one of the things I enjoyed about this book was getting to see Claire and Jamie from Nightingale back in Australia after their war experience.

Unfinished Business by AA Shankari Chandran was a thrillingly pleasant surprise.

I enjoyed The Dubrovnik Book Club, which had a strong sense of place, particularly for the Old Town of Dubrovnik.

It sure does, Carolyn. The cover was revealed this past week. I’ve also read somewhere that it compares well with Cloud Atlas, which excites me no end.

Captive on the Fens by Joy Ellis is as good as I've come to expect from this excellent crime series.
