Hayley, it was so worth seeing! I mean, it feels like Broadway fanfiction, to be perfectly honest, but if you're a "phan", like I am, you'll appreciate it all the same--just pretend like the ending of the movie happened instead and you should be alright. XD

I can always just add in new members/books as they come in. (: I have one already, so from now until April, I'll just add any new posts I see!

Been watching Merlin again, revving myself up for when I'm able to launch into my Steinbeck. (;
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. 5/5
Although I am not particularly proud of it, I was extremely worried and hesitant about reading this book. I’m usually wary of books that are popular over a wide variety of people, not to mention the fact that it is written in present tense. And we all know how I feel about present tense writing! But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the story! I’m glad that I finally gave in to the recommendations and pleading of several friends of mine! If you were as hesitant and worried as I was, trust me, you will not be disappointed! There is a reason behind all the hype! The characters are intriguing, the story is exciting, and the pace is
perfect! This is a very well-rounded novel, and I am more than happy I jumped on this bandwagon!

270-ish pages in, and not totally sold yet, but it isn't terrible, hahah. (: I haven't read Michelle's review, but by the rating she gave, I'm along the same lines so far.
I don't think I'll be able to pack in Linger this month though; I have to read nine other books by the end of March, not including Poe! OTL.

Alright! I'll have to reread the first three books so I remember exactly what's going on, but I'll let you know when I do! (:

I noticed I had these dusty books in common with a few other people, so if anybody wants to join in on a buddy read with any of these, let me know!
The Giver by Lois Lowry
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephanie Meyer
Delirium by Lauren Oliver

I can compile a master list and send it to Jessica, and then she can edit the first post of the topic and put it there? Would that be good? (:

I'm about a hundred and twenty pages in, and it's a little fast for me, but I really like the writing. Stiefvater is really good with balance. (:

Jessica, I threw a lot of my dusty books into my February reading challenges, hahaha. (: I'm pretty good at multitasking with them!

It was so BEAUTIFUL, but it made me feel like the last twelve years was a waste because it ended everything. OTL. Alas, Phantom will never, ever have a happy ending. :[
And another part of me felt like it was just like...a bad soap opera with Phantom characters. I prefer to think of it as a nice add-on, but not as legitimate continuation of the story, you know?
Mostly because I reject the ending with everything in my being, and I left the theatre sobbing and yeahhhhhh.

Whaaaa, I just went to the theatre and saw the "Love Never Dies" filmed version. It's the sequel to Phantom of the Opera that Webber wrote, ad ke rnjywevnj mhwejn, my heart has just died and it will never be recovered EVER AGAIN.
Ahhhhhhhh...*falls over*

I believe there's at least a few of us reading
Shiver this month! I just started last night--I think it's pretty good so far! I like the alternating points of view between Sam and Grace. (:
Kelly wrote: "Thaila I can't wait to read Shiver in March! Do you have the other 2 books?"I don't! But I know the bookstore just down the street has them both, so if I get desperate, they're not far away! (:

GUYS GUYS GUYS I GOT MY COPY OF STEINBECK THE OTHER DAY.
I'M SO VERY THRILLED EKRKNHKWEVRNHWUJKNRHJTNHK.

Working on Dusty Book #5!
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater.

I'm excited! It's finally Poe month! (:

Orla, sounds great! I'm super excited for my class to get into it! I love reading classics and seeing how I feel about them. (:

Okay, I'm going to read S&S, even though it's not a challenge book. (:
