I finished it. I enjoyed it.

(view spoiler)[I cried when Aslan died. The scenes of him being murdered were pretty graphic for a children's book. I guess that's the point, but it was still surprising. I was glad when he was 'resurrected', if you will. Definitely felt the connection to religion there. It was a good, compelling story. I am glad people voted for this book even if not many have read it. It gave me a chance to finally read it after all these years. Now I want to see the movie. Liam Neeson voices Aslan and I love him as an actor! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Edmund continues to be more than a little annoying. He totally reminds me of the Pugsley book from Harry Potter. I feel bad for Mr. Tumnus. I know he's supposed to be naughty, but I just like him. I hope the kids can save him. The mention of Aslan has me intrigued. The Beavers were cute. This is a nice little read so far. (view spoiler)[I love Mr. Tumnus. He's such a cute little character and it's so sweet that he regrets trying to lure Lucy into danger. Edmund seems like a brat but a typical older sibling who picks on the younger. Perhaps he will learn some humility. I think he just met the evil queen?? I wonder if the religious connotations are scaring people away from reading this book but to me, they don't feel that heavy other than the reference to daughter/son of Eve/Adam so far. I just started it. I've only read the prologue so far, but it's intriguing.
