My plan to read this with IAD book 5 backfired, I couldn't put the vamp down for the day! lol I'll be reading it a bit tonight so I can cry and not worry about my makeup going to hell... ;-) Glad you loved it!

Exactly; I just think the massive difference in Adam from the start to the finish of this series was such a disservice to his character. I absolutely adored him, I literally went right back and read Shatter Me as soon as I finished because I wanted to see it knowing who Adam really was to her in the beginning, not just some soldier. It was such an intense and beautiful thing between them, and Tahereh crushed that and ruined him in the process. I love how Warner became a better person for her and the connection between them, but I think she just trashed Shatter Me by doing that. Just my opinion, of course, but if you read through the SM reviews, EVERYONE loved Adam. It's like this 'rave about Adam' fest in the SM reviews, so I was shocked at how she handled him given how much her readers loved him.

Yeah, which royally pissed me off. People can say what they will about Warner always being better for her, but she MADE so many of her readers adore Adam in Shatter Me, and it irritated me to no end that it suddenly shifted to him being a jerk. He was a jerk because she was cold to him after all he'd done, how is that his fault?? Ugh, don't get me wrong, I loved Warner in the end and he's the epitome of the sexy bad boy, but she seriously did wrong by Adam with this series and it hurt! lol

Oh wow, that's a tall order because that is such a unique series and you've probably read 90% of the books I'd recommend! lol Have you read

Yeah, I read the reviews and it sounds like it's similar to Forbidden in terms of the (view spoiler) Interested in knowing as well though, because I need to be prepared going in if it's going to gut me!

Bummer! Sorry hon, but thanks for the head's up! lol

Hi, Melissa! It's a daunting task keeping up with the threads for sure! Just check for notifications on the top of your Goodreads page and click on whichever one you want to try and keep up with, but it's really just about chatting when you can. Happy to have you in the group with us, and I'm glad we're here to keep you company while you are home getting better! We're book addicts of all ages, and plan to be for many years to come. =)

Wow, just read a few reviews for Me Before You, not sure I could take that one. Added it to my TBR last year, but it's going to have to be for a day I need a good cry. No HEA just breaks my heart before I've even opened the book! lol

Well, at least you tried it! Not everyone's going to love the same stuff. Sorry it wasn't a good one, though.

I've never even heard of this one!! It sounds amazing though, I've grabbed it up and will try to get to it soon if it's this good!

Got my package of books 5-12 of the IAD series in the mail today, so I'm starting up

I'm starting TFSoFiL soon for the blog, it looked really good. Glad you're liking it, I'm looking forward to that one even if it's heart-wrenching!

Have you read the Covenant series?

That's the tough part, finding a YA book that's got all of those things we DO love about the genre without them being cliche and done a million times. Sorry you aren't loving it, I'm STILL looking for that YA read that just hits me and makes me want to read it over and over and over like Twilight. It's so sad. lol

Finally got through

I just finished
