My plan to read this with IAD book 5 backfired, I couldn't put the vamp down for the day! lol I'll be reading it a bit tonight so I can cry and not worry about my makeup going to hell... ;-) Glad you loved it!

Exactly; I just think the massive difference in Adam from the start to the finish of this series was such a disservice to his character. I absolutely adored him, I literally went right back and read Shatter Me as soon as I finished because I wanted to see it knowing who Adam really was to her in the beginning, not just some soldier. It was such an intense and beautiful thing between them, and Tahereh crushed that and ruined him in the process. I love how Warner became a better person for her and the connection between them, but I think she just trashed Shatter Me by doing that. Just my opinion, of course, but if you read through the SM reviews, EVERYONE loved Adam. It's like this 'rave about Adam' fest in the SM reviews, so I was shocked at how she handled him given how much her readers loved him.

51477 GAH!! I'm only 2% into The Five Stages of Falling in Love by Rachel Higginson and I'm already crying ugly tears!! This one's going to hurt, I think I'm breaking this up with Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole !! =)

Yeah, which royally pissed me off. People can say what they will about Warner always being better for her, but she MADE so many of her readers adore Adam in Shatter Me, and it irritated me to no end that it suddenly shifted to him being a jerk. He was a jerk because she was cold to him after all he'd done, how is that his fault?? Ugh, don't get me wrong, I loved Warner in the end and he's the epitome of the sexy bad boy, but she seriously did wrong by Adam with this series and it hurt! lol

Oh wow, that's a tall order because that is such a unique series and you've probably read 90% of the books I'd recommend! lol Have you read Clipped Wings (Clipped Wings, #1) by Helena Hunting Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros ? Loved both of those and they had that same pull for me.

Wow, just read a few reviews for Me Before You, not sure I could take that one. Added it to my TBR last year, but it's going to have to be for a day I need a good cry. No HEA just breaks my heart before I've even opened the book! lol

51477 Finished Forgotten Sins (Sin Brothers, #1) by Rebecca Zanetti , it was good but didn't blow me away, but I'll be reading the next ones because I like these sexy alpha brothers. =)

Got my package of books 5-12 of the IAD series in the mail today, so I'm starting up Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole this week! Yay!! Started up Undressed (Country Roads, #4.5) by Shannon Richard for a blog review, excited to read more from Shannon after I loved Unforgettable (Country Roads, #4) by Shannon Richard .

That's the tough part, finding a YA book that's got all of those things we DO love about the genre without them being cliche and done a million times. Sorry you aren't loving it, I'm STILL looking for that YA read that just hits me and makes me want to read it over and over and over like Twilight. It's so sad. lol

51477 Finished up my ARC of Spend the Night II (The Hotel Collection, #2) by Elizabeth Lee and hot damn I'm even more messed up than the first episode. Everything I thought I knew from the first book was knocked off track then put back on then turned around, it's crazy and sexy and I loved every second!

Finally got through Hot and Bothered (Hot in the Kitchen, #3) by Kate Meader , it was pretty good but really the story's been done a million times and it dragged on a bit too long. Reading Forgotten Sins (Sin Brothers, #1) by Rebecca Zanetti now, pretty good so far.
