It might have been my goof, I added the VA to the list so now they're both up there! lol

I think when I was typing up the list it pulled up Bloodlines instead of VA, and I totally didn't catch it! I've added VA to Sylvia's list since it was supposed to be on there! =)

Oh, definitely do a re-read, this was an awesome series! And so completely different, that's what I loved about it.

Yeah I was surprised we all were able to find a full list given how much we like similar reads! lol I did throw a temper tantrum when Brooke stole the Covenant series, though. =D

51477 That's great, Amber! You can pick and choose which you want to read from any list, so only read them all if you really want to. lol Generally we say only to read books that are new to you for the challenges, we try to encourage new reads. Hope that helps, happy reading! :-)

51477 To add a little twist for the new year, we're making a buddy read challenge for 2016! You and a partner will be choosing one book each month for the other to read. Starting in January, pick a friend in the group that you would like to do the challenge with. Keep in mind, you will be choosing a book for each other every month for the year, so choose someone you know wants to be a part of the challenge for all 12 months. Here are the general guidelines:

-Every month, each of you picks a book for the other to read, any genre
-Try to stick with what you know your buddy won't object to or dislike reading, we want to keep this friendly!
-Books must be more than 150 pages, no novellas
-Each partner should create a new folder titled "I Pick, You Pick" on their page and post the link here so we can see your books throughout the year
-Reviews are welcomed and encouraged

51477 For this year's annual Moderator's Challenge, we'll be ringing in 2016 with some bad ass heroines!

For those of you wishing to participate, here are the guidelines for the challenge:

1. You can choose any book listed by any moderator
2. There is no limit to the number of books to be read.
3. When a book series that continues with the same heroine is listed, you can count any books that you read from that series
4. The books can be used in any other reading challenge.
5. The books need to be at least 150 pages long.
6. You can list the moderator's name in the recommendation field.
7. Create a shelf and name it 2016 Mods Bad Ass Heroines where you will add in all of the books as you read them. Just post the link for your shelf here.
8. Reviews are welcomed and encouraged.

This challenge will begin on January 1, 2016 and end on December 31, 2016.

That's a bummer, what was your goal? I changed mine twice this year as I realized I was WAY far off, and then just not quite there. Probably cheating a bit because a goal is a goal, but I couldn't bring myself to miss by that much! =)

Same here! lol I'm giving Roxy's story a go just because her odd behavior around Reese had me curious, but it didn't get rave reviews either. I'll cut myself off there if I don't like it, I don't want to end up disliking her work in general!

51477 Decided to grab a book off the shelf this week for a change and read Stay with Me (Wait for You, #3) by J. Lynn . It was okay, but even with my long lags between JLA books this made me feel like it was nothing new from her. Still love her, but I do prefer her YA reads at this point.
Dec 17, 2015 07:07PM

51477 I was going to ask what the latest craze was on here so I could really get into something again, looks like The Land of the Beautiful Dead by R. Lee Smith is the winner! =)

If you all get a sec and it looks like something you'd want to read, please add DEEP (DEEP #1) by Jaine Diamond to your "want to read" lists. Jaine is a new author and this was such a cool read that I really enjoyed, so I'd love for her to get some more attention for her first release. And if you're in the mood for something really unique and sexy, this one got me out of my book funk so give it a go! TIA!

I've been in that boat a lot lately! I used to read a book a day, I think sometimes we burn ourselves out on things we love. I've been taking a big step back on reading because of lack of time and desire to read, but when I do read now it's more fun! lol

51477 Got to see Mockingjay Part 2 with my oldest this weekend. Couldn't help thinking back to when I first read this series and how it sparked my love of dystopians with our group's "Dystopian Reads" month years ago. I miss those days, when I had the time to chat for hours on here with such cool reading friends!! I'm so grateful that this group is going strong though, it's still the best on GR!! =)

I wrapped up a book that was great for my reading rut last week, Deep (Deep #1) by Jaine Diamond was perfectly dirty and different and a bit twisted...had me glued! Think military spacecraft storyline with a BDSM twist, I loved it.

Reading Whipped (Wild Riders #2) by Elizabeth Lee now, still enjoying this series of course since it's my girl Lee.
