It's honestly not great writing, but it's one of those series I just loved anyway. This one, though, just didn't cut it.

Same here, I joined Match.com and I swear if I find a guy who's Scottish I may just ask him to marry me on the spot. Or at least whisper sweet nothings in his delish Scottish brogue. LOL

Always a good read, though now that I know how it plays out I'd rather read the later books! lol

51477 Got an ARC of Ricochet by Keri Lake and dove right in, it's very dark even for Keri. I'm enjoying it, but wow it's a doozy!

Cracked open Grey (Fifty Shades, #4) by E.L. James , 20% in and definitely preferring Christian's POV.

51477 So I finished Undeniably Chosen (Significance, #5) by Shelly Crane and I'm honestly disappointed. It was WAY too long and not much ever really happened until near the end, and my expectations were far off from what we got with this one. Given the age of the characters, I was expecting a more mature storyline, but Ava came across as SO young and naive for a girl in her twenties. And I'm sorry, but what 20-something guy uses the term "daggum"??! Not saying books have to have cursing in them, but ugh it's annoying when teeny-bopper terminology is used by adult characters in a book. That on top of the numerous editing issues just frustrated me to no end, as much as I hate to say it.

Yeah, I felt like the actress was a little cold, too. After I finished season one of the show, I grabbed up the book to see if that ending was better than the show's, and Claire came across as much more tender with him than the actress portrayed her. Maybe that's just how she was supposed to handle it, but I personally wish we'd gotten some of THAT ending, because it would have made me feel a lot better than the cut-short final moments we got in the show.

Ooooohmygerd yes! lol I'm a bit obsessed with Scots right now thanks to Outlander, so just the Scottish brogue alone had me drooling!

51477 I've been kind of blah the past few weeks so I've been losing myself in some books that were either on my blog review list forever or just on my TBR too long. Her Dark Places (The Sutton Files, #1) by Kelly Killarney was so-so, but as I went to write up my blog review I realized the author has pulled the book and isn't finishing the series...complete waste of my time, then! Finished The Perfect Someday (The Mathews Family, #3) by Beverly Preston which was completely predictable but for my meh mood it served the purpose of being a decent cheesy romance. The Remingtons Spotlight on Love (Kindle Worlds Novella) by Kaira Rouda was better, I really enjoyed this one (thankfully!). Then I flew through MacRieve (Immortals After Dark, #13) by Kresley Cole , completely on a whim because it's out of order for the series but I just grabbed it off the shelf and it was perrrrrfect for what I needed!

Now I'm grabbing up Undeniably Chosen (Significance, #5) by Shelly Crane and Beautiful Broken Promises (Broken, #3) by Kimberly Lauren just to finally get to them before I start Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon !

Okay, I'm taking your word for it! =) I wish I didn't get quite so invested in the characters some times, it makes it hard for me to enjoy books that I know would be great, but make me mad because of choices the author makes. But I can't resist more of Jamie, he just does things to me...*wipes drool*

Glad to hear it! And I know not every book will be a favorite, so as long as it's not a DNF for me I won't regret buying. =)
