I've read 3 volume tomes that I wished were longer and short books that should have been novellas.
and vice versa. It depends on the writer.
Stephen King is a classic example of a short story writer that has become too famous and successful to have his too long stories shortened to a more readable length.

I was starting to think the series would never restart.
It is an amazing series. Made more amazing by Fiona Staple's brilliant artwork.
It still has a long way to go. The end of Vol. 9 was the half way mark of the story.

It's not out yet.
It's showing a Nov 7, 2023 release date on Amazon.

I'm joking, but it does sound like it may have been inspired by HP.
Not saying that's a bad thing. Like all picks, I will give it a fair go.

We get twice as much rain and it rains for more days per year.
I'd guess we are a tad warmer though.

That is an amazing deal. 😎
Anyone that has never read Saga and is interested. That is the first 10 volumes (60 issues) Buying those alone would set you back a couple of hundred dollars.
The whole run (6 Volumes) of the great "Paper Girls" series.
Plus the other 36 books by themselves are worth 10x the asking price.
All for less than AU 30 bucks. (minimum) Wow. 😎
I'm getting it even though I have Saga and Paper Girls. The rest are all series I am interested in.
Obviously I will chuck a few extra bucks in because it is for charity, but still an amazing deal.

It is definitely a city at its lowest. Under control by an oppressive invading foreign power.
But there are the odd shining lights who try to rise above and push for change (by way of revolution) and at the point I am in the book (52%) they are getting hammered back down.
I am hoping to see some sort of people's revolt before the end.
I am enjoying it. It is a solid good, not great yarn. 3-ish stars.

Looks like a solid entry to the already great MI franchise.
I hope to be as fit & look as young as Tom when I get to that age. He is almost 61.
(view spoiler)

They also did ones for:
Romance: Complete with everything: a kiss, a promise, a misunderstanding, another kiss, a happy ending.
Western : Complete with everything: cowboys, horses, lady, blood, dust, guns.
Mystery: Complete with everything: detective, telephone, mysterious woman, corpses, money, rain.
That Romance title could be taken more than one way 😉

Loss of Free Will and Self is definitely a theme that gets explored heavily by the end.

"The Spiders from Mars" was Bowie's band in his Ziggy Stardust phase.
Also "Spider Woman" by Uriah Heep.
You can't not have the Spiderman theme song from the classic cartoon series.

I'm confident you will enjoy the resolutions to the storylines.

A Spider.
Add 1 scoop of ice cream to a tall glass
Add your favourite carbonated fruity beverage
To be truly an Aussie drink the fizzy cordial needs to be Lime or Creaming soda

If it is described as urban fantasy then I'm not surprised if an Ogre, dressed in a suit and tie, is walking around New York chatting to a Gnome and an Elf.
Tasmanian Gothic is a sub-genre. But it is not restricted to SFF.
Note: Since when haven't we been able to post links to other sites? Like wikipedia? weird.

Book 2 Children of Ruin is more spacey.

Pudding as in the British meaning. Not the gloop called pudding that American's eat 😉
"Spotted Dick" is more cake-ish than pastry-ish.
I'd back Veronica to crush her 'Hot Ones Challenge' after seeing her do this 11 years ago on Scam School 😉
