I liked S1 as well, but it got criticism in S1 for having very few aliens.
That has been addressed in S2. Lot of aliens and they are evolving into a more aggressive species. Fun times ahead.

Foundation is more a story in the Foundation universe. It doesn't really require more than a passing knowledge of the source material.
It doesn't stick very close to any single book(s) of that series. just the overarching themes.

Ted Lasso, Severance, Silo, Invasion, Slow Horses & Foundation are all worth watching.
Servant & See were good early then got annoying.

I have started with a general call to everyone to try and be more civil.
I am trying to be "Good Cop" to start with (Rob is better at being "Bad Cop" 😉 )
I am used to more spirited forums where disagreeing and heated defending of positions over politics, religion and other hot button topics is the norm. We don't have to like or appreciate the same media. It is ok not to like something and say it. But please, everyone, respect others opinions. Even if you think they are wrong.
This forum, even at its most heated, pales in comparison to my other forums. Though all rules of civility still apply. It is general a fairly friendly and well behaved forum.
I have been guilty in the past of disagreeing with others, and being disagreed with. There is no problem with that. All opinions are valid. We can agree to disagree. But abuse will not be tolerated.
So far no-one has overstepped the line here. In my opinion. Though more than one have come close.
I (and also Rob) have in the past taken action via PMs to warn members of inappropriate posts and to improve their conduct.
I have had people complain about posts that I struggled to find a problem with. Certain people rub others the wrong way. We have a few very opinionated people on this forum (Myself included) and some of them are among my favourite members.
I like that we are from many different countries, beliefs, political spectrums. lifestyles and work settings etc. I am an Aussie who is also a socialist, atheist, who works in the mining industry. Occasionally our beliefs and opinions will clash. I embrace the differences.
Disagreeing is allowed, but we will not allow abuse towards fellow members.
If you feel that certain posts have crossed the line then please PM me or Rob with a link to that post.
I have limited internet availability on work days and may miss all posts (Though I do try and get on and skim all recent posts at least once a day)
Please be civil to one another and enjoy your time here.
Thanks
Tassie Dave 😎

Everyone is allowed their opinion. Positive or negative.
The thing about personal opinions is that they can't be wrong. It's their opinion.
We can agree to disagree.
I'm enjoying Ahsoka. I set low expectations with anything Marvel or Star Wars on Disney these days.
It is exceeding those expectations.

I've only got about 11,000 pages to go 😉and that's just for the 10 book series. There is also another 7 books in the bundle 😕
Not to mention many other books in the overall Malazan story.
I may have a break in between books. They do span many generations.

I am enjoying it. Though remembering the 'telephone book' sized list of characters is a challenge. Especially when several change names and/or go by nicknames as well 😕
This is deep. But I'm up for the challenge 😎

Mostly filmed south of Hobart. In Cygnet & Kingston. Not really like my part of the world.
For my part of the world see "Bay of Fires" which was filmed in my hometown (Queenstown) and surrounding towns (Strahan & Zeehan) and weirdly no where near the real 'Bay of Fires' which is on the north-east coast. 😕

I doubt you can get it there, but the best fish is Blue Eye Trevalla with Barramundi a close 2nd.

I agree. It is called out by the coffee shop owner, that they are like an old married couple. They are a delight in their scenes together.
Too much Hamm though. He is well named. I am not a fan of his hammy acting style. 😕 I know I'm in the minority.

That's weird. It's AUD $12 in Oz for the Kindle version. Which is about US$7.80 😕

That's a thing?"
It's the European Cup for weird Euro Trash pop songs.
That weirdly includes Israel, Australia and some ex-Russian Asian countries 😕

Too bad nobody told Justin Kurzel and the writing team 😕

Sounds like a good deal if you're interested in the series but have never read any of it.
AU$27.38 or about US$17.50

I really tempted to get it. It's a bargain if I end up reading the whole series and not that much if I don't and the money goes to charities.

It isn't Veronica shaking, it's Cthulhu swimming gracefully and majestically

I should have noticed that. 🤣"
It’s understandable since you’re upside down and all the blood is rushing to your brain."
Not age related memory loss. That's a relief. 😉

My comments were, mostly, tongue in cheek. I know gridiron has a lot of injuries. Having athletic 150 kg men shoulder charging other men and driving them into the ground has to do damage. Even with all the padding and helmets.
Aussie rules has a lot of stress related injuries (knees, ankles, shoulders etc) because of all the changes in direction (as well as heavy contact while changing direction)
