My first experience of American's pronouncing Zed wrong was Sesame Street when I was a kid (Yes Sesame Street is that old 😉 ) and they sang the alphabet song. I'd get told off by my mum if I sang it and ended with Zee 😕

As long as spell it with a Zed and not a Zee 😉 If you have to spell it "wrong" 😜

This was originally a 5 part video game released on Xbox and Playstation about 10 years ago.

By the Scottish play I assume you mean "Macbeth" 😉

People had something to say about that geographical error.

Apparently that picturesque landscape was filmed in Kananaskis, AB, Canada, near the Sheep River Falls. (2,000 miles west of Boston)

I'd say, technically, he didn't nominate a book, just named a book he thought he would have liked to nominate. 😉
Us Aussies like flirting with the rules without, actually, breaking them.
Except for when we break them 😉

20 years after the outbreak, Joel siphons petrol (Gasoline) out of a car and pours it into his ute (truck) and drives away.
Anyone who has tried to put 2 year old petrol (gasoline) into a whipper snipper (weed whacker) or lawn mower (lawn mower) knows that it is hit or miss if you can get the machine to start and if it does, it runs like a dog. Try 3 year old petrol and you've no hope of getting it started. 20 years, no way.

That is, literally, how language evolution works.
Someone applies a definition to a word and over time it is either rejected or becomes an accepted definition. Sometimes the new definition will become the default definition.
Reading books from the 19th century will prove that.
When they talk about "making love", they don't mean what we think they mean today and describing a person as "gay" meant they were light hearted and carefree in nature.
You live in the land where the right often apply their own definitions to words they don't understand like: woke, socialist etc
Language is constantly evolving, which is why we have stark differences in English usage in the US compared to the Commonwealth countries.

I loved "H.R.Pufnstuf" when I was a kid. You watch shows like that and "Banana Splits" today and you know there was a lot of acid being consumed in the writer's room 😉

of course the answer would always be "Illya Kuryakin". He was my favourite 😎
I'm a child of the 60s (1962) I should check out the book.

One of the initial choices is "Napoleon Solo" or "Illya Kuryakin" (The 2 lead characters in the show)

That was one of my favourite TV shows in the late 60s/ early 70s.
But I'm confused as the book doesn't seem to be related to the TV show or a cold war spy thriller. 🤔

I enjoyed that book. I would also describe that book as being on the cozy periphery.
Though it does have murder, young people in peril, battles etc
So I guess I get where Silvana is coming from if Nettle & Bone is a similar style. Cozy, but with a smidgeon of dark action.

So either pre-pubescent or just into puberty. So I'd rule out sexual grooming.
That's not to say his intentions at the end are pure and not part of a power play. He is a prince used to getting what he wants after all.

It was released after the last March Madness (Released April 26, 2022)
It is one of those books I'm seeing in a lot of lists for 2022 recommendations.

Imagine watching a show where you never got to see Pedro's pretty face for a whole season. 😉 (and most of the 2nd season.)
I can live with a few gaming conventions being used. Of course the science doesn't work with fungus zombies, but I can let it go for the sake of a good story.

Sarah (aka Nico Parker) is Thandie Newton's daughter. You can see the resemblance.
Ellie (Bella Ramsey) as mentioned above by Stephen made her name in "Game of Thrones"
Joel is Chilean. Tess is Australian. Are there any Americans playing Americans? 😉

We spend a bit longer with Sarah than in the game (view spoiler)
I have high hopes for this series, as they are getting on with the story and not getting bogged down in too much exposition.
We have a brief section before and during the outbreak. Then straight into the world 20 years later. You don't need to be shown how we got to here. You get what is going on immediately.
Fungus "Zombies" still inhabit the areas outside the walls and the government troops have gone full martial law.
So far it's a 9/10 for Ep .1.
I only started the game last week and am only slightly ahead of where we end the pilot. I may hold off the game to avoid spoilers for the TV show.
