Picard season 3 (121 new)

4170 I'm using a Roku with the CBS All Access app, so no casting. The Roku version of the CBS app is pretty solid.
4170 City of Brass would be a good alt-pick.
4170 But blowing up is part of march madness. I filled out the 2020 US census questionnaire the other day. The questionnaire says Please answer BOTH Question 8 about Hispanic origin and Question 9 about race. For this census, Hispanic origins are not races. I wasn't expecting to this. This type of query used to be all rolled into one question. For Question 8 I chose Yes and specified New Mexican, because I'm from New Mexico. If I stop posting it will be because the Census Police have come to take me away.

4170 For a limited time, Subterranean Press is giving away the ebook of The Tea Master and the Detective by Aliette de Bodard. If you like Sherlockian SF, this is a terrific tale.

4170 The free trial permits access to everything on CBS All Access. With this deal, it sounds like only Picard is available to watch.

4170 What's the Japanese word for "buying" too many ebooks that are being given away for free to help us out while we are social-distancing/self-isolating/under-quarantine? Asking for a friend.

4170 I'm not inclined to read plague fiction right now, but if you are, here is an Associated Press article

4170 This autoplayed after Ruth's video. It really belongs over in the Mandalorian thread, but maybe the cat should have it's own thread.

4170 Sometimes I get an urge to a read a book I know I have, but it's lost in a pile of books or packed up in a box buried beneath other boxes full of books, so I just find an ebook edition. I wonder if I'll ever see those lost books again?

4170 Audible is offering books you can listen to for free. They don't have a SF&F category, but the Literary Classics section has some speculative fiction titles
