Still obsessing about chickens?!? Mars Needs Chickens!
4170 Ok, this is not a nomination or a second; it's a notification of nominational interest. I don't care if "nominational" is not a word. A couple of people nominated/seconded The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind by Jackson Ford and it's on sale today so here is a link

The anthem has been amended. The line now goes:
"True patriot..."

I apologize to all Canadians for not knowing that.

4170 Killer, Come Back to Me: The Crime Stories of Ray Bradbury is on sale for $1.99

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085N3NDDG/

"Is it murder to destroy a robot if it looks and speaks and thinks and feels like a human being? Can a ventriloquist be incriminated by the testimony of his own dummy? Can a time traveler prevent his younger self from killing the woman they both loved? And can the survivor of a pair of Siamese twins investigate his own brother's murder? No other writer has ever rivaled the imagination and narrative gifts of Ray Bradbury, and the 20 unforgettable stories in this collection demonstrate this singular writer's extraordinary range, influence and emotional power."

4170 It took me a while, but I finally found copies of all the Cowboy Bebop trade paperbacks and read them. Overall, the writers and artists did a good job of capturing the spirit of the tv show.

Sword and Laser is going international starting with our neighbor to the north. While Veronica spearheads Sword and Laser Eh, Tom is planning the S&L expansion into Korea.

Suggestions for future global expansion welcome.

O Canada! our home and native land!
True patriot-love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
And stand on guard, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.

[Chorus:]
O Canada, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

4170 Just finished Blitz by Daniel O'Malley, the third book in The Checquy Files, and very different from the earlier books in the series. There are two tales told in Blitz, one set early in WW2 London and the other set a few months after the second book, with all new characters. Very entertaining.

4170 The only game books I've read are Star Trek: Voyage to Adventure by Michael J. Dodge and Star Trek: Phaser Fight by Barbara Siegel. The first book has 46 endings and the second has 28 endings. Both books have terrific cover art. I guess I was a little underwhelmed by the stories which are similar. Michael Dodge is a pseudonym of John M. Ford who has written some terrific science fiction and fantasy novels, including a couple of very entertaining Star Trek novels.
