4170 Welcome Soff

4170 Yeah, the whole season has been good so far. I'm ready for another arc though, as much as I enjoyed the Bad Batch.
4170 We're not cancelled though! I've been practicing social distancing for over 30 years! Reading a book works well with that.
4170 We now return you to your regularly scheduled march madness thread, already in progress.

I have customers spread accross pretty much every time zone. Although the majority are east coast US who are always confused/upset when the day ends 4-5 hours earlier than they think it should because all date times are stored in UTC.

But yeah, that map makes my head hurt..

This is why the clockists win."

I'm a programmer. If I had my way I'd not only end DST, but everyone in the world would use UTC. Converting date/times is one of my least favorite things to do.
4170 I've read 2 of them. I'm a little iffy on the others. I'll still read whatever wins though.
4170 TBH, I don't care.

Still working on stats, work is being inconvenient this morning.
4170 Reminder that voting ends in about 18 hours or so.

Yeah that's probably a good idea. Assuming I remember it next year. I just always copy/paste from the previous year's FAQ.

Maybe I should add something now so it's there next year.
4170 I think at this point we've spent more time talking about sports than about round 1 of our book tournament...
4170 Whereas, I love the way this works. The painful decisions are upsets are what makes it fun for me.

4170 As Tassie Dave has pointed out before, several March Madness losers have ended up group reads later on.

Although since Tom & Veronica want to do the Hugo picks this year, that probably won't help Callahan's chances. But you never know.

if/when it comes down to Children of Time vs. All Systems Red I'm not sure which I'll choose. I liked both. Probably All Systems Red though.

At this point I'm rooting for The Bear and the Nightingale because it's on my owned and unread pile.

Of the remaining 8 books, I've already read 3 of them, and plan to vote for all 3 2 of the 3 in round 2.
