4170 I own like 3 copies of the anime. I also have a ton of the music on import.

I have a DVD set and the collectors edition of the HD release that comes with both Blu-ray and DVD copies. Plus it is signed by a few of the English voice actors.

It's one of the first animes I actually liked the dub of. I tend to alternate between English and Japanese whenever I rewatch it.

I'm due to watch in Japanese again soon.

4170 Tank has been my ringtone for several years.

4170 Some the same people did Tank! as well:

I was lucky enough to see Yoko Kano do a piano concert in Baltimore in 2013. I love her stuff.

4170 I watched some but not all. Some were good. Others not so much.

4170 Hmm. I stopped getting notifications for some reason.

Belated welcome to Paul and welcome Katie.

4170 I like that idea. I think there is a lot more story potential in the post-rebels timeframe than the post clone wars/pre-rebels time.
May 06, 2020 06:36AM

4170 I'd still prefer a post rebels spin-off to a post clone wars one, but I'd be happy with either. Why not both?

4170 anyone else watch the finale yet?

I was expecting it to be out Friday, but thankfully a friend told me it came out for Star Wars day today.

I was very happy with the ending, or as happy you can be given how we know Episode 3 ends.

I went back and rewatched the previous 3 episodes before doing the final one. It wasn't necessary, but it totally worked like a movie. And the episodes were just as good the second time.

Kind of sad it's over. I'm really hoping for a post-rebels series to be announced more so than I'm hoping the rumors about Ahsoka being in Mandolorian turn out to be true.

4170 I enjoyed her Ahsoka book. So I'm tempted to snag that. But I'll probably never read it.

4170 Yeah, that's a good way to look at it.
May 01, 2020 11:02AM

4170 I thought the first half of the episode was slow, but the second half more than made up for it.
May 01, 2020 09:26AM

4170 Maybe. But look at the participation numbers, they are much much less too. I think people just aren't very excited by the group challenges anymore.

I know I participate simply because it's not any extra reading beyond what I had already planned to do. I dropped all of my goals this year compared to the last 2.

Much, much less: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

4170 For my own personal challenges, I'm finished with:

Personal: 21/50 (42% complete)
Sword: 6/15 (40% complete, 7% ahead of schedule)
Laser: 8/10 (80% complete, 47% ahead of schedule)
Comics: 4/5 (80% complete, 47% ahead of schedule)

This month I've added 1 Sword, 2 Laser, 0 Graphic novels.

So I still haven't been reading a whole lot. I did finally finish the March S&L pick in hardcover early in April, but the other two were in audio.

Once I finished though I haven't even tried to read anything else. I hope in May I'll do some graphic novels and manga at least. If that goes well I'll maybe try to read one of the many ebooks on my backlog.

In the meantime I'm about halfway through my 40 hour audiobook, so I expect to finish that, but the one after is about 60 hours, so I doubt that will get done as well. So May could be a very light month depending on motivation to read with my eyeballs.

4170 A month of quarantine in the books and now May has arrived. What are you reading this month?
Apr 24, 2020 11:01AM

4170 i think in 2 weeks when the final one comes out I'm going to rewatch the whole arc. It's so good so far.
4170 Our pick for next month was made by long-time member Terpkristin. It will be: Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist.
