Deana, I can't allow the combo points for this book. You've already claimed Combo points for Task 10.7 Flashlight Worthy using the WWII/Holocaust list. The rules for the task state that you have to choose one list and use it throughout the challenge.

Thanks for looking out, Sam! Goodreads says Goldman died in October, but he was not born in the fall. When I claimed points for the Unification task, I used an American author, so I wasn't sure if I cold use another American when claiming combo points...

Hi Liz:

+5 Combo points for Task 20.7 (Unification Season)

You can claim an author from the same country ONCE each for 20.7 Task and Combo points - but the year the books were originally published need to be different for each book you claim for the same country.

The US book you claimed for TASK 20.7 was published in 1978. This US title for the COMBO points was published in 1966. So it does qualify for Combo points with Task 20.7. You've now used both the US slots for the Unification task. You won't be able to claim Combo points OR Task points for US books for the rest of the challenge.

I've adjusted your score. You don't need to update your message.

Minimum Lexile Score to be eligible to earn STYLE points is 700. At 810, your book is fine.

I'm don't think that "rye" qualifies as a starch. It can be baked into something that would be starchy, but on its own it's a grain.

Sam -- could you give us a ruling on this one?
